Caden woke to the movement and familiar warmth suddenly appearing, his eyes fluttering open as his vision remained somewhat blurry--still half asleep. "Rose.....?" He slurred

"What?" She muttered, exhausted

"You had something today, which I probably should've gone too, didn't you?" Caden asked quietly.

"I'm sorry, should've been there and I wasn't." Caden murmured

"It's fine. You were busy." She said quietly, her words hollow

"Not really, if I can't support you now how can I support our kid in the future?" He asked, face blanking slightly as his words became echos.

She shrugged. "If you don't want to go to the appointments, I'm not gonna force you"

"Probably should I mean, what if something goes wrong or-or something's wrong with the baby and then everything just--" He cut himself off, letting out a breath. "I need to stop thinking about the bad stuff." Caden noted with a chuckle.
