that's finee) - Matt had spent most of the next day showing Layla around the areas that he knew. He figured he might aswell use her to pass time, it was better than sitting at home doing nothing. Though he had gotten so caught up in it that he completely forgot his deadline for work, and so sent Layla back to the house and headed to the coffee shop, luckily before the time he had mentioned to Trixie. He knew he had to get the work done, so he wasn't too bothered if she actually came or not. But it would still be nice. He seated himself and pulled his laptop out and set it down, keeping an eye on the 10/15 minutes that passed, his mind slowly forgetting about Trixie as he worked.

Trixie had gotten out of a class at 5, so making it to the coffee shop was near impossible. It didn't help that she wanted to change into something a little more attractive before she left, which she did. By the time she got to the coffee shop, it was fifteen after, and she was in a tight fitting, low-cut sweater that was a dark burgundy color, a black jacket over it and a simple pair of jeans with some leather lace up boots. She looked pretty, especially since her hair was curled. She smiled as she saw him, lightly walking past and gently ruffling his hair when she did so. She settled across the table from him, giving him a slightly apologetic smile. "Sorry, my lecture hall got out a little later than usual. How's your day been so far?" She asked lightly.

Matt looked up for the first time in a while as Trixie spoke, giving her a faint smile as she sat down. "was beginning to think you weren't coming" he said, waiting for her to get sorted before he actually spoke. He gave a small shrug in her direction at her second comment, leaning back in his chair slightly. "Insanely boring. I thought i'd show Layla around to pass time but she doesn't shut up so it proved incredibly tedious. How about you?" he asked, his gaze locking on hers for a few seconds.

"I would never stand you up." Trixie smiled, watching him lightly. "Ouch. Sounds absolutely horrible." She smiled, giving a fake wince. "Meh. Scholarly. College. You know, the usual essay due every other class." She rolled her eyes. "Anyway, what are you doing?" She asked lightly, gesturing to his computer and holding his gaze somewhat tentatively.

Matt watched Trixie speak, looking at her with a smile. It was more of an admiration thing that anything else, but it was something he was at least able to tear away from easily. "sounds thrilling" he said with a slight mumble, sitting himself back up to lean forward, though he winced slightly at the aching pain in his stomach. "just data stuff really, it's nothing interesting" he smiled, looking her in the eye.

Trixie took note of his small wince but said nothing, simply tilting her head slightly. "Is that what you do for work? If so, it sounds a little boring." She teased, but her question was genuine. She stood, her eyes latching onto him a moment more than strictly nescessary. He was so familiar. It was almost fascinating, and she was eager to find out... why. "I'm going to go get a drink. Can I get you anything?" She asked, smiling, dragging her fingertips gently along the tabletop.

Matt shrugged slightly, leaning forward and resting his head on his hand. "Kinda. It's boring but at least I don't have to actually have to go anywhere. It's 50/50" he said, his tone slightly blunt purely because he was focusing on a bunch of numbers on hs screen. He blinked slightly and looked up, focusing his gaze on Trixies who seemed to have hers locked onto him. He raised his eyebrows and raked a hand through his hair, almost forgetting to reply to her question. "I'm okay, thank you though" he said quietly.

"Well, I suppose you trade one for the other." Trixie shrugged lightly, tilting her head at the delay in his response while he ran a hand through his hair. "Got it. Be back soon." She nodded, giving him a small smile and walking off to wait in line. It was short, and she ordered some kind of tea. It didn't take long for the drink to come out, so she was back relatively soon. "So, what do you do in your spare time?" She asked lightly, sitting down and curling her fingers around her cup.

Matt watched Trixie walk off, bringing his gaze back down to his hands. He couldn't get the weird feeling that he knew her off his chest though it seemed pretty much impossible. He knew there was a chance of slight confusion coming out of a coma, but was it really this persistent? It took him a while to bring himself back to reality as she returned, and he had to relay her words in his head to make it make sense. "Not much, really" he said, originally thinking to just leave it at that. Though he figured he might aswell explain more, what else would they do? "I'm still getting used to the are actually, I used to live in Italy. I have..no idea how I got here" he finished, sitting back against the chair again. "What about you?" he asked after a couple seconds.
