Aria nodded weakly and looked into his eyes. "I'll be here for as long as I can. If that means 5 minutes, or 90 more years with you. I love you Sage." She murmured looking at Caroline. "We both do. More than you can ever imagine." The girl said. Aria smiled at the boy. She wanted to be okay, she wanted to hold him in her arms and tell him that she could stay here forever. But the girl thought that wasn't possible.

Sage sighed slightly and smiled down at the girl. "I know," he murmured. "And I'll make the same promise...I might not be sick, but a war is coming, and Ill have to lead the army," he sighed, curling up against Aria and laying his head lightly on hers. He was silent for a moment. "Why don't you sleep? You need the rest," he hummed.

Aria looked at Sage with wide eyes. "No! You're going to die, and I can't live without you Sage." The girl said, tears filling up in her eyes. "If you fight, I will too." She said. "I can't sleep! What if the other army comes at night! I'm scared." She said, burying her face in Sage's chest. The girl was so nervous, she shivered slightly and looked out the window.

Sage shook his head and tilted the girl's chin up gently so he could look her in the eye. "I've survived many, many other battles, and now I have something to fight for," he told her. "I'll be alright. I'll come back to you and Caroline," he promised. "And the two of you will have armed guards around you...you'll be alright," he told her gently, letting her put her head back on his chest and hugging her again. "It'll be alright," he whispered. for both of them really.

Aria nodded. "You promise you'll be okay?" She asked him nervously. She was scared he would get hurt... or even die. She rested her head on him and hugged him gently. "I love you Sage, I can't lose you."

Sage hummed lightly and hugged her tightly and nodded. "I won't leave you," he promised. He'd fight as long as he could to atayw with his family...he wouldn't die easily.

Aria nodded. She was still dizzy, and a lot was blurry for her to see. But Sage was one of the only things she could see. The girl held him close, and cuddled in. "When are they coming? Tomorrow?" She wondered.

Sage pursed his lips and shook his head. "I don't know," he admitted. "No one knows." He sighed. "But we'll be ready for an attack in two days...we can defend ourselves now, just fine, but we're going on offensive in two days in they haven't attacked by then." He shook his head with another sigh. 'i want to end this all quickly."
| |

Aria nodded weakly. "I hope it will endd quickly." She said. "Please stay safe, Sage." The girl whispered, falling asleep against his chest softly.

Sage nodded to reassure the girl, and was going to say he'd be fine, but by then she'd fallen asleep, so he stayed quiet. He sort of just closed his eyes and rested while she slept.
