Ajax let out a little huff of his own to join the huffing party, but sighed a little as Mercy hesitated. "I'll stop asking questions and I will come. If you actually want me to." He stated firmly, standing up. He had completely cleared his plate- even in tense situations Ajax loved to eat and his bacon had been gone within 10 seconds. He washed off the remaining crumbs and put the plate on a rack to dry.

"I do. But you can go cut down your tree if you really want to first." Mercy shrugged, slightly teasing. She watched him walk off to put his plate away and walked after him easily, wrapping her arms around his from behind and resting her forehead between his shoulderblades.

"No no it's okay. Anything for you." Ajax rolled his eyes a little, taking a towel and rubbing off the excess water on the plate. "You do know we're not going to get anywhere if I'm trapped, right?" Ajax asked as he half slid around to face Mercy.

Mercy smiled and rolled her eyes at him, looking up as he slid around to face her. "I know. But you're not trapped, if you really wanted to, you could work your way out." She teased, cuddling even closer to him and pressing a kiss to his cheek.

Ajax, being the person he was, was mentally fighting inside. -Too close, shoo- -It's fine, it's Mercy- -Too close, shoo- -Perfectly fine, it's Mercy- Was literally his brain fighting against itself. One side won over quite quickly. "Weeell I don't exactly want to move..." Ajax joked with a half smile. "Buuut you said yourself you have stuff to do." He finished with a tilt of his head, chuckling a little.

"Aha! So you admit it, you do like hugs. I knew it." Mercy teased, smiling. It did mean a lot to her that he was getting more comfortable with her affection. She laid her head on his chest and closed her eyes, shaking her head. "I didn't say it was urgent." She quipped.

Ajax sighed in defeat, knowing that was what Mercy would have got out of it.. and she did. Boom, he dug himself a trap and then leaped right in willingly. "I'm sure you knew it. Don't you know everything?" He answered sarcastically, taking in a slow breath. "Fine, different excuse. I just can't possibly stay standing still a second longer so if you want to procrastinate can we do it on the couch where I can sit?" He asked hopefully.

"Yep, that's me. All knowing angel." Mercy said sarcastically, opening her eyes and tilting her head up at him as he spoke. "Fine, I guess we can. But only if I get cuddles. Deal?" She asked, unwrapping one arm from him to hold it out for a handshake.

Ajax nodded slowly, faking a believing look before arching an eyebrow at hr version of a deal. "I don't exactly know what these *cuddles* are that you are talking of- but for my well-being, deal." He said, looking serious yet still having the joking twinkle in his eyes. Ajax shook Mercy's hand, promptly sidling away from her and sitting down on the couch. "Ahh. So much more relaxing," He sighed with a teasing smile.

"Well, you'll see then, won't you?" Mercy teasedsmiling as he shook her hand and letting him sidle off before she followed him to the couch. When he sat down, she sat lightly beside him, laying her head on his shoulder and wrapping her arms around him gently. She let out a small sigh and closed her eyes after.
