The boy nodded and gave a bit of a wave before getting back to work... it wasn't a lot, but it would take a fair amount of time, he thought, at least enough to let Sage get settled in the house.

Mari and the kids were having a fair nice time at the little lake... Liz was kind of trying to play with what little sand there was, while Silas was splashing about. She called him back and wrapped his towel around his shoulders, now that he was soaked in his clothes before scooping her little girl up and padding back towards the house to start making dinner.

Sage had sort of hobbled back over to the house, plopping down on the chairs he'd made for the porch with a huff, attempting to catch his breath. He grinned when he saw Silas bouncing up to the house, happy as always. Maro wasn't far behind, holding Lizzie, and he waved before recieving a very wet hug from silas. He couldn't help but yelp in surprise, and Amber yowled a complaint before taking off into the house. Sage couldn't help but chuckle, though now he was rather cold. He forced himself to his feet, reaching out as if going to hug Mari. "You hot babe," he asked mischeviously, sort of chasing her back inside the house. He was rather slow though, so he sort of just waddled into the kitchen after her, sneaking up behind her so that when she turned around she practically fell into his very wet, and admittedly a bit muddy, arms. He kissed her too, then released her with a sort of cackle. "There," he hummed. "Fixed!" Nothing had needed fixing, but it was funny all the same.

Mari watched her son run along, and set Liz down in the living room to play with some blocks or other, when she noticed Sage waddling after her. She cocked her head before kind of walking (at a normal pace) away from him, since she didn't want to actually make him run to her. She squeaked when he wrapped his arms around her, and sort of wriggled out of his grasp before flopping back into him. "You're gross," she complained, though a chuckle escaped her after his little kiss. She kind of just stilled in his arms before patting his chest and giving a light smile. "Go make sure you son washes off - oh, and get a quick shower yourself while I make lunch," she huffed before pecking his lips and starting to put together a little meal for them.

Sage chuckled lightly at her comment and hummed happily when she pecked his lips again. "oh, please, you know you love me," he hummed happily, letting out another chuckle at her kiss and then nodding happily. "what, you don't think I'm the sexiest guy ever when I'm all sweaty," he joked lightly, sort of waddling/limping away and over to reach down and take silas's hand with his good one, Amber pressed against his blind side as always, easily guiding him around the walls and chairs as he moved to go up to the bathroom.

Mari chuckled to him, pecking his nose before sending him off. She turned back to the kitchen and started to make up a hot lunch for the two of them. She saw Anthony wondering about, so chucked another plate together and a small picky plate for the kids, just with some sandwiches and grapes on the side... they never really ate much. But it was nice to see Sage a bit more... lively today.

Sage hummed happily in response to her peck, moving off to scoop Silas up as best he could with one arm, and waddle away to the bathroom. They probably made more of a mess screwing around than anything, but soon enough Silas got tired and calmed down quite a bit, which made it a lot easier to wash him down. Then came the task of washing himself .. which was admittedly even harder than washing Silas, who had by then already run down to the kitchen. He figured he'd done well enough for now after around half an hour though, so he slipped out and dried himself off best he could before wrapping new bandages and everything around what he could and dressing before moving back down to the kitchen tiredly.

Mari grinned when she saw Silas running down, and scooped him up onto the counter after a moment or two so that he could watch her cook. Her brother came in shortly after, when he settled down before she set a plate infront of him and the kids... she spotted Sage waddling down, and gave a bit of a smile before meeting him at the bottom of the stairs with a plate and a drink. "See? Isn't that better?" She asked with a bit of a chuckle.

Sage chuckled lightly when he noticed Mari meet him at the foot of the stairs with lunch in hand and pecked her cheek in greeting. "I don't have the energy to argue about that now," he joked lightly, since he normally would complain about a bath a bit. "Maybe later," he added with a wink, still just joking around as he took his food and drink and moving to plop down at the table with a grunt. "besides, your cooking can make anything better," he hummed lightly. "Even your brothers attitude," he hummed in amusement, throwing a teasing glance in Anthonys direction, sort of continuing their playful banter from earlier before digging into his food happily

Mari rolled her eyes in an amused tone before going to grab a plate and plopping down next to her husband. Everyone seemed happy... which was nice. Even Sage had a bit of spunk about him. Her brother glared at her husband for a moment before getting tucked into his food... soon enough, though, everone had finished off eating and Anthony headed home since the horses had all been sorted out for the day, while the now very tired Silas was asleep on the couch... Liz was in a little play area she'd made a few weeks prior, so she scooped the child up and took him back to bed... she'd made sure to wake him up later before dinner, though.

Sage was definitely more than ready to eat, he found, once he sat down. At least, once he smelled her delicious cooking he decided he was sort of hungry. No one talked a whole lot during lunch, except for Silas, who was still talking pretty much nonstop. Anthony seemed to like spending a bit of time with him though, which admittedly gave sage a chance to eat in (mostly) peace for once without the little boys attention being directed at him. Not that he minded talking with Silas, but he did like to eat in peace as well. Once dinner was over though, he moved to peer over at Liz as she played, scooping her up once she got bored of toys and wanted daddy. He was definitely very tired by then though, and ended up passing out on the couch with Liz curled up on his torso contentedly.
