Max pinched the bridge of his nose, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. Holy fuck she was starting to get under his skin. "Kylie, I can't help you with that. I'm not the police, I understand exactly what happened but I can't do anything about it." |

Max was quiet for a moment, her words echoing louder in his mind than they should've. "I've been gone once, you're going to let that ruin everything else while I still do what you ask? Still comfort you when you need it, still there for you, yet I messed up one time and suddenly that's all I do?" He asked, voice quiet, somewhat worse than yelling. |
