"No it wasn't, you have blood all on the edges of your mouth." She managed after a moment, eyes now slightly widening as the realization dawned on her.

Sage winced slightly when she mentioned his mouth, bringing a hand up to his lips before dropping it with a sigh. "Grew up in an area with a lot of smoke. Lung infections got to a lot of people," he explained tiredly. "Thought I escaped it, but I guess it caught up with me," he added.

"Shit," She murmured, running a hand down her face as she let out a sigh. "So... what do we do?" Elara asked, looking back over at him.

He sort of heasitated and shook his head after a moment. "Not sure," he admitted softly. "Maybe I'll pull through, maybe it'll knock me out like most everyone else." He flopped back against the side of the house with a heavy breath. "If something bad does happen, just make sure Liz gets somewhere safe," he noted after a moment, looking up at her.

"No, no you're going to pull through. I can't have you die, Sage, I can't." She murmured softly, the realization he most likely wouldn't pull through dawning on her in that moment.

Sage was rather surprised when she seemed to actually be upset about him dying, then he just offered her a small smile. "Well, I don't plan on it, but...." He sort of trailed off, shaking his head. "Maybe being in fresh air now will help." He didn't know. But he was scared to death about leaving Liz behind.

"Yeah, let's hope so." Elara murmured softly, still worried sick.

Sage nodded, though after a moment another bought of coughing shook his frame. He still kept his hand over his mouth and then quickly wiped it on the grass....he was bleeding a decent bit and she was already worried. But he was struggling to even catch his breath after the fact now, which was a bit concerning. It wasn't like they could get a doctor either, so he wasnt sure what to do here.

"Uhm... I can go to town and get advice, i'm sure I can get Nate through... systems." She said hurriedly, just trying to figure out ways to help Sage not die.

Sage sort of glanced over at her with a wince, rubbing his knuckles against his chest as he thought. It was starting to hurt worse...even with the paste on his chest it was getting uncomfortable. "Might have to," he agreed, still somewhat out of breath. "Don't think this will just blow over."
