"I said I thought we wouldn't see each other again. I'm pleasantly surprised." Trixie smiled, leaning against the wall beside him. She rolled her eyes and nodded. "What, no good faith for a lovely woman such as myself?" She teased, looking up at him.

Matt gave a small shrug after Trixie had finished speaking, staring past her bluntly. "Not at all, no" he smiled, fiddling with his shirt. "I thought you told me you didn't have a boyfriend, anyway. Or was the guy kissing you just some random stranger?" he mused, tilting his head curiously as he asked his question. It shouldn't bother him, in fact he did his best to make it seem like it didn't.

Trixie shrugged, not seeming bothered by his demeanor. "Oh, well. Worth a try." She smiled. It faded slightly as he asked about Will. She blew out a light breath and glanced up at the evening sky. "Honestly? He kind of was. Seemed like it, anyway. He's not the same person anymore and he... seemed to think otherwise. I don't see him that way anymore, I guess he didn't catch the signals." She shrugged.

Matt raised his eyebrows at Trixies explanation, leaning back against the wall again. "You've just said a load of shit that makes no sense. I think i'll take that as you not having a boyfriend, though" He said with a slight smile, flicking his gaze quickly back to Layla who was wandering mindlessly over to them. "Are you okay though?" he asked, bringing his eyes back to her rather quickly.

"Yeah, well, it's complicated. Nothing worth telling, nor worth hearing." Trixie shrugged, giving him a faint smile. "But that's all you needed to get from it." She nodded, glancing over as the red haired woman started to approach. "Oh, I'll be fine. Just feeling a little guilty for no good reason. Lovely date you have there." She said, nodding to the girl wandering over.

Matt nodded, giving Trixie a faint smile. He was more than happy not to hear about another guy, and quite frankly he didn't exactly care too much. He let out a small laugh at her second comment, a frown slreading across his face for a split second. "Don't even. This was one hundred percent my dads idea" He sighed, giving a sarcastic smile as she girl finally reached his side. He stepped away from the wall he had been leaning on, turning completely to Trixie. "I'll have to go now. Will I ever be able to talk to you again? Or will you 'doubt it' again?" He asked, titling his head playfully.

"Oooh, daddy's a matchmaker? What a mystery you are." Trixie smiled, nodding slightly. "Well, I hate to be this person, but you could always ask for my number. Or we can leave it to chance. For whatever it's worth, I'd love to see you again." She said, flirting shamelessly with him for the fact that he had his date right beside him.

Matt felt himself internally wince at Trixies words, for the fact that Layla was standing there clearly listening though she was staring off into the distance. "Mhm, and i'd say he's matched quite well" he said, a little louder than usual. It was clear he was taking the piss, but he was sure the girl was so stupid she didn't exactly see the sarcasm. He sighed and lowered his tone to speak to Trixie. He handed her his phone, keeping his bad firmly turned to Layla. "If you absolutely must..I'd like your number?" he asked, giving a small smile.

Trixie raised her eyebrows ever so slightly at him for his first comment, smiling. She had just set him up for a very awkward car ride, but she didn't mind too much in the moment. She took his phone lightly, holding his gaze and matching his tone when she spoke. "I really must. I'd hate to think I might never see you again." She said playfully, putting her number in his phone lightly and then handing it back to him. "Text me sometime, if your... date doesn't work out." She teased softly, turning and starting off down the sidewalk.

"Maybe" Matt smiled, watching Trixie walk off rather intensely. The way she acted, her name, her voice seemed so incredibly familiar, and it seemed to be fucking with his head slightly. For some reason, Matt felt like he had known Trixie for ages, especially throughout the last couple of months. But clearly that wasn't possible, what with him being in a coma and all. Plus again, this was a different country. He turned to Layla and beckoned her back to the car, his smile slowly dropping at the complaints starting from her about Trixie. It lasted most of the way home, and once they'd gotten back and she'd made herself too comfortable, Matt slipped away to the kitchen, presenting himself at the counter. He let a lot of time pass before even thinking about messaging Trixie, and instead made himself busy with other things. Soon enough though, he shot her a quick message, not thinking much of whatever he wrote. It was along y the lines of "you did indeed make a very awkward car ride home" with a couple other things, and set his phone down, re focusing on his other task.
