Sage slept pretty well for quite a while ....he only woke up when the sun started to peek through the windows and Amber hopped off his chest to go....do whatever. He didn't know, and he really didn't care all too much. He just rolled over to bury his face in Maris back and go back to sleep. It didn't come right away, but it came eventually, even if it was a lighter sleep than before. It was nice though, to just relax with her in a comfortable position and everything. And sleep. Sleep was nice too.

Mari slept through most of the night, albeit there wasn't that long of it left... she woke up late in the morning, with Sages soft breaths on her neck and an arm around her side. She wondered if it was healing properly... but he doctor had gotten to it fairly quickly, so hopefully everything was alright. She just gave a small hum of a greeting before shuffling into him a bit more so that her back was pressed against his torso, where she was a bit more comfortable.... though she soon found herself driving back off to sleep, rather than getting up and making breakfast the way she'd done over the last few days.

Sage had dimly heard her voice speak up, and he let out a tiny hum in response....though he wasn't completely sure she'd have heard him. It didn't matter too much he supposed though, and neither of them seemed to be moving at any time soon. Which, admittedly, was really quite nice. To be able to just curl up and sleep in, comfortable and happy in their own room and on their own bed, under their own blanket. There was just something about it that you couldn't get anywhere else. Normally Mari would have been up by then, but he was certainly glad she'd chosen to stay this morning. It was just....refreshing he supposed.

Mari gently took a hold of Sages hand where it was resting over her, and gave a soft hum, but eventually drifted off again. She did feel bad... she was meant to be waking up. Getting breakfast ready and making sure that Sage was set up for the day properly. But she wasn't doing a fabulous job. She just couldn't get herself to wake up at all. She was comfortable, and she didn't actually get to sleep very easily last night. She remembered that Sage had gotten up here himself, though... and she couldn't help but be a little bit relieved that he actually wanted to do this himself.

Sage was more than happy to stay curled up with Mari in bed for as long as he could. He knew they'd eventually have to get up and face the world, and that was really, really hard to do right then. But he could push those feelings away and just be comfy with his wonderful wife like this, and it really was the perfect day, since it was sort of grey and rainy outside this morning. He knew she'd gone to bed much later than him ...he wasn't sure how late, but he sort of hoped she'd stay here for a while. And considering how she just curled in more, that seemed to be happening.

Maybe the quiet was more helpful than anything... there was a soft pitter patter of rain, but it kind of helped her to relax. She'd sort of woken up now, but just wanted to relax, her back pressed against his stomach and curled into his arms. Her thumb gently ran over his hand before giving it a soft squeeze. She wasn't used to laying in... but Silas and Liz were quiet so she didn't have to get up a see to them at all. She tilted her head back to peck his chin before settling back down again, the kiss being a greeting of sorts she supposed.

Sage hummed happily in response to her peck, sort of just nestling into her more with a soft huff of air. It was definitely nice to be able to just....rest with her. Not necessarily sleep, but just spend some nice quality time together, just the two of them, nestled up in their room. The rain really only seemed to help relax everything....there was no thunder or lightning or anything, so it was all just very...homely. relaxing. It was definitely nice.

(Won't be on much today, im a vendor at a fair so I'm super busy lol)

(No worries! I put viewing horses today (ex-racers, I'm putting my life at risk here lmao) so not on much anyway :))

Mari smiled at his murmur, and eventually closed her eyes to get comfortable again. They should probably do something today... more than lay around, but as long as the kids were asleep she was happy to relax. They weren't panicking or anything, and as long as Sage was comfortable then she was happy. After another hour, though, she did slip out of bed to make sure Silas had his meds and some food... his cuts were healing well, but he was still sore, so he still had something to soothe him. She settled him back in bed, and grabbed Sages for him, and a small slice of toast before padding into their room and setting everything on the side. She moved to press a light kiss to his cheeks to wake him up a little, and gave a happy hum. "I have food and meds for you. Then you can head off to sleep again," she offered gently.

(ahaha, I retrained an ex-steeplechaser once. That was a wild ride...super fun once he was trained tho!)

Sage was more than happy to stay there for a while, and let out a whine of complaint when Mari slipped away, though he knew she'd have to take care of the kids. So he sort of just wrapped himself around her pillow and half drifted off again. It was still warm, and smelled like her, so it was almost as good as the real thing comfort wise. He shifted slightly to stretch when she woke him, letting out a huff of air and looking over at her groggily. "no, I should get up at some point," he sighed, dragging a weary hand over his eyes. He didn't really want to...he had to fight to stay awake even now....but he couldn't just sleep all day.

(Yeah, we've got a few at home! The one we decided on is actually a very nice ride. He's going to be a fab horse)

Mari chuckled in response to him before shaking her head. "You can stay in bed. Anthony is still gonna help you out with the horses, so don't worry," she chucked as she handed the toast then the water and pills to him. When he tried to get up again, though, she kind of pushed him back down by the shoulders. "If you get up I might need to find someone else to cuddle with," she teased lightly to him.
