Elijah nods, kissing her head. He took Ethan and changed him before placing him into the crib next to their bed. He placed the blanket on top of him. He then slipped under the covers beside Dakota.

Dakota's eyes popped open when she felt Elijah climb into bed. Her mind took a second, but recognition set in and she curled into Elijah

Elijah held her close, closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep

Dakota was tired, but she couldn't sleep. She was just waiting for Ethan to make a fuss. When he did, she gently wiggled out of Elijah's loving arms and walked over to her son. "It's okay, honey. Shhh." She said, while rocking him and slightly bouncing. Ethan cried before slowly quieting and finally falling asleep

Elijah stirred slightly, reaching over to the empty space in his sleep

Dakota walked over to the bed, Ethan still in her arms, and sat down. She leaned against the headboard, trying to not fall asleep. When she almost slipped into sleep, she curled up in front of Elijah, Ethan laying right next to her and Dakota's arm still holding him. Dakota, on her side, watched her newborn son sleep

Elijah woke up the next morning, smiling at his wife and son

Dakota looked at Elijah, smiling, and then turned back to their son. She gently sat up and cradled the baby before yawning from lack of sleep. She offered Ethan to Elijah
