Ajax fixed her with a gaze that very clearly said *well duh*. "Not. One. Bit." He confirmed, smiling a little. "Hurumph..." Ajax mumbled, waiting for her to say what she was going to say. "Well, I love you too." Ajax snorted over dramatically, huffing right back at her. "Good enough?" He asked with a mischevious smile.

Mercy shrugged mockingly. "Deny it all you like, but we both know the real answer." She said sarcastically, pulling her hands back from him. She smiled at his slight drama and rolled her eyes. "Alright, I guess that's fine." She huffed, turning and walking back to the bacon.

Ajax nodded slowly. "I think we both do know the REAL answer. The one I've been trying to tell you about ALL ALONG. That I was NOT flattered by the silly baby voice." He answered jokingly, his eyes twinkling. "Oh I'm GLAD. Now make sure the bacon is done correctly, you can't mess up the best meat in the world." Ajax teased, going over to pet Rex.

"Mhm, sure. Whatever you want to tell yourself, honey." Mercy teased, scoffing at him and turning back to the pan, flipping the bacon over and giving him some major side eye. "I think you should make breakfast tomorrow. That way I can annoy you while you're trying to do something productive." She huffed teasingly.

"Honey? That's another new one. Why don't you just go on to think up the silliest nicknames in the world for a 6'5 man and we'll see what I feel like rolling with." Ajax rolled his eyes sarcastically, lifting his eyebrows at Mercy as she side-eyed him. "Oh I would just love to make breakfast for my favorite person in the world. I'm sure you couldn't annoy me too much." Ajax commented with a glint in his eyes. His family always had a rule for dinnetime: Don't upset the cook. More than once he found insects crawling around in his dish right after he upset his father. Not that he would do THAT, but he had some tricks up his sleeve... that didn't exist cause he wore t-shirts most of the time but who cared.

"You know what? You're right. Molasses is more fitting, honey is too slow." She mocked, giving him a glance over her shoulder as she cracked two eggs into a bowl and started to beat them. "You wanna try that out tomorrow, then?" She challenged, pouring the eggs into the free pan and taking a spatula to them.

Ajax snorted a little. "A-hem ma'am, careful with the insults. You do remember who you're dealing with, right? The great Bulldog? Fighter of demons? Hellooooo." He mumbled under his breath, chuckling a little. "Definitely, call it a dare." Ajax lifted his head with a grin. "You haven't seen anything yet." He joked... but really, it was true. He had gotten really good at ignoring annoying things when his father was still alive. "I'll be right back." Ajax said quietly, standing again and walking outsde. He grabbed the axe he used to cut down trees, bringing it back in and finding a sharpening tool and a wet rag. "Bacon almost done? I'm just famished." He asked with a teasing glance, starting to sharpen the axe while he waited. Edited at November 8, 2023 12:08 PM by Wild West Warmbloods

"Oh, I know exactly who I'm dealing with. My sweet, thoughtful, and insanely annoying boyfriend. Who happens to be a not-so-scary demon in his free time." Mercy teased. She scoffed at him, scrambling the eggs a little more as she went to pull the bacon out of the pan and put it on two plates. "Neither have you." She mocked, watching him leave with a smile. She started walking over to the table with it, huffing as he spoke. "You know, now that you've been talking a while, I don't think you deserve breakfast." She teased, setting his plate down at the table.

"Huh." Ajax snorted, looking up. "I am scary!" He retorted indignantly, going back to sharpening the axe. As Mercy pulled the bacon out of the pan and got plates out Ajax all but dropped the tools he was using he walked over eagerly. "I can only imagine what you have in store." He snorted a little, but at her last words his face fell like a brick. "Heeeyyy! That's completely not fair and you should be glad you are teasing! Depriving me of bacon is like making me live the rest of my life being 4'3!" Ajax yelped in alarm, making sure the plate was safely in his custody before even thinking about talking again. "Well thanks for the meal you made, however much it pains me to say it." He sighed a little, a mischevious twinkle in his dark blue eyes.

"Mhm. Sure you sare." Mercy quipped sarcastically, watching him rush over with a smile. She walked back to grab the pan of eggs and walked over to scrape some onto his plate, and then hers. "You can't EVEN imagine." She huffed, rolling her eyes and walking off to get herself a glass of water. "Hey, I like short guys, so it couldn't be that much of a curse." She teased, walking back over and pressing a kiss to his forehead before she sat down. "You're welcome." She scoffed.
