"great idea." he said, picking the bowl up along with some food and treats in his spare hand. They moved over to the brush section, and Sam picked out a hardy-looking blue brush for Ella. Once they had gotten everything, Sam payed, smiling and thanking the cashier on his way out. Once they were all outside, Sam clipped on Ella's brand-new lead and collar and said to Ellie, "fancy a walk in the park?"

She smiled softly with a nod, “Of course!” She grinned before walking towards the park. Sam looked like he was slightly struggling with trying to get Ella to walk at his side, but she was sure she would get the hang of it. Ellie scanned the park area for a nice place to sit. It was a hot day, with clear skies and a blazing sun, so maybe the old oak tree in the corner? It was shady and you could see the whole park. Maybe Ellie was thinking too hard, it wasn’t important. She headed towards the tree and flopped down on to the cool grass with a heavy huff.

Sam flopped down with a contented sight next to Ellie and his new dog. Resting his head happily on to the trunk, he surveyed couples walking by, hand-in-and, kids playing with their bikes, dogs running up and down, chasing bright green tennis balls. It was idyllic. Sam turned his head to Ellie and said "pretty isnt it?" gesturing to the wildflowers and trees everywhere.

"Thats an understatement," She smiled softly with a gentle chuckle. "I haven't been out here in a while. I don't think it's changed too much though." She said thoughtfully. She looked at the puppy sat next to Sam wagging her tail softly, "Apart from this little thing, I've sat here once or twice but Ella is new," She said with a small laugh.

Sam looked down at the adorable dog sitting between them, who looked up at him with those piercing blue eyes and smiled, tounge hanging out of her little mouth. Unclipping the lead, he let her go and frolick a little with a couple of the other dogs, keeping a close eye on them as they sniffed and socialized with one an other

Ellie smiled at the puppies delight, "You really need to go say thanks for her, she's a little too sweet," She chuckled softly as she leaned back on her arms as she watched Sam follow his puppy around with his eyes.

"i think ill pop in to see him tomorrow." He said, smiling. Calling her over with a whistle, Sam handed Ella to Ellie. Ella flopped down happily on her lap. "we should probably go soon." Sam said, a little sad they would have to leave. But it was mid-afternoon and He didnt want tobe out too long. Sitting back, Sam drew out a nice book and started reading, his curious eyes fixed on the words of the pages.

"Do we have too?" She asked quietly while scratching Ellas side softly. "Its nice here, I don't want to go," She complained childishly with a soft chuckle. (Sorry, short!)

Sam put down his book for a second. "well i suppose we could stay a little longer." he said, grinning wide at the sight of Ellie's puppydog eyes. Closing his book, he picked up his phone to see a message from his friend. hey, u want to come over tonight? pool partyyyyy Sam laughed a little and replied I'm down! "hey Ellie, my friend's having a party at his place, fancy coming along? might liven things up a bit."

Ellie looked very relieved to be able to stay longer rolling onto her side with Ella moving slightly to sit next to her, tail wagging softly. She looked at Sam with a slightly tilted head before nodding slightly, "Sure, I guess. I'm not really a party person though." She said with a soft chuckle.
