Marco's anxiety started creeping in, another secret he'd kept from Amy since, well, he never felt it creep up on him when he was with her. He felt overwhelmed, digging in one of his bags before finding the bottle and popping a few down the hatch before sitting for a while and getting lost in thought. " Marco I was sexually assaulted when I was seven and never told anyone until I was thirteen I told my dad my dad didn't believe me then he got stage four cancer in his lungs when I was fifteen and he died when I was sixteen I was told by my mom to never cry about it that she loved him and I just lied to him so I couldn't, my mom started drinking and she would bring home a different guy every night and I was had to stay in my room, I starved myself, I wanted to be prefect for my mom but I never could be but Amber was my last gift from my dad that's why I love her, during my rodeos he would hold Amber and walk me down the ally then one day he couldn't he was on bed rest but he fought so hard to come to the rodeos and I knew he couldn't I was mad at him sometimes because he couldn't " she stared to tear up and she looked down at her hands " I know your were abused by you dad and I want you to know " she looked up to him " I may not know 100% of what you went through but I don't want you to hide it from me and they guy that sexually assaulted me was my dads friend that's why he didn't believe me" Edited at April 16, 2025 10:54 PM by thatcowgirl2006 |

Marco listened, keeping his gaze on the floor. "Uh, I don't even know how to word my side. When I was six, my father would lock me in a closet for hours, I thought we were just playing a game. Then, when I was 10, he started to burn me whenever he would light a cigarette and burn me with the butt of it." He paused, breath shaky. "12 was when he started stabbing me and cutting me, alongside locking me in the closets and burning me with the cigarettes, oh yeah, and the beatings, can't forget those. When I was 13, I decided to start riding bulls and that's when he flipped. When I told them, he tried to strangle me and choked me out until I fainted and...and then once I was up he tried to drown me. Almost succeeded, but I didn't let him, I endured until he lost interest, then I pushed back. 15 he made me stop breathing from choking me out so much, 16 he gave me the worst beat-down anybody could give me. That year I got kicked out with nothing but ten dollars, slept with a different girl every night for a place to sleep as I got my money up. My mother was always in the background, never acted on anything, supported what my father was doing, even." He told her, voice quieting before it turned to a mumble at the end. |
