She nodded, dragging it over before pressing the back of her hand to his forehead, frowning. "Gods... you're just getting hotter everyday." Elara murmured, shaking her head lightly as she walked back off.

Sage moved the trash can to where he wanted it, then allowed her to press her hand against his head before curling back up and closing his eyes. He'd grunted in response to her comment, but passed out before he could think of words to say.

Elara watched as she did so before looking back at her bow, fingers itching to go shoot it once more... but heading to hunt would mean leaving Liz, who could get sick from Sage--speaking of, what if he got worse and needed her there? She leaned on her elbows on the counter, slipping her eyes shut as she rubbed her temples.

Sage slept in bits, sort of just a fitful fever induced sleep between coughing himself awake and back and forth for a while. There was a definite rasp to each breath, which did worry him a little bit, but honestly just getting a full breath in was enough work he wasn't thinking about it too much.

Elara made sure Sage was asleep before pulling one of the floorboards up, revealing a small stack of letters. Dear Nate, Dear Dorian, Dear Mother, Dear Father, All four of them were adressed to each of them, seperate of course. To Nate, she opened with; Life's going well, Sage is... well, hard to tell. We never really speak to eachother. Still got Varys, though, and Liz loves him. I haven't hunted in weeks even, either cleaning or cooking, honestly I kind've regret leaving the castle. It was safe there, and I could actually do stuff. This is...well, he insisted on staying in a shithole of a cabin, though, I don't really want to leave right now since knowing how townspeople are, disgusting and savage, i'm sure he'd try to seek revenge in someway. I hate him, I hate him I hate him. I hate this. I hate this shitshack, hate how he could've never came inside and i'd never had left. I regret doing so, and I want to go back but... i'm not going to say that to his face. He's actually fun to be around sometimes though, and that makes up for everything. It's always nice when he is, less griping and less headaches. She continued talking about the positives, sneaking in a few inside jokes and such before ending it and sealing it. ~*~ Elara read through the letter, seeing her opinion had mostly remained the same. She made sure Sage was still asleep, slipping the stack back into under the floorboards.

Sage had stayed in a fitful slumber for a while, though at some point through the night he woke, and noticing that everyone else was asleep for the night, didn't want to wake them. So, he moved to wrap the blankets around his shoulders and heave himself up and out of the bed, moving slowly towards the door. It took him a while, chest constricting as he held in his coughing. Once he was outside though, he just collapsed, sort of bending over where he'd fallen to his knees, coughing for what seemed to be forever. He stayed in the same position once he was done, waiting for his vision to clear and hopefully to catch his breath. He tasted something odd though, and when his vision cleared he noticed blood on the hand he'd used to cover his mouth. Shit. Apparently his old life was beginning to catch up to him. Lung infections were common when you lived in shitty air...but he'd hoped he had avoided it. He shook his head slightly, letting himself move to the side, wiping his hand on the grass and leaning against the cabin wall, wondering what would happen to Liz if this killed him. Which....it was pretty likely.

Elara was deep in sleep, not noticing Liz get up and walk outside to him. "Daddy?" She mumbled, rubbing one of her eyes. "Why are you outside?" She asked curiously, looking around before her gaze caught a shooting star.

Sage half jumped when he noticed Liz come out, and smiled softly at her. "Hey baby," he greeted her. "I just wanted some fresh air. Didn't want to wake miss Elara," he added, pressing a finger to his lips to prompt her to whisper. "Why are you awake, hon," he added, hoping she wasn't also getting sick or anything .

She nodded as though she were listening, her gaze still fixated on the stars streaking the night sky. "I had a scary dream, the mean ladies at the school came and took me away from you because they said I needed to read more.'' Liz noted in the casual way little kids do, looking over at him and noticing the blood on the ground. "What's that from?"

Sage sighed softly at the words, torn between embracing her and not. If it was an infection, it wasn't contagious so....that meant she was safe. He opened the side of his blanket for her to crawl against his side, wrapping his arm and the blanket around her when she did. "It's alright," he murmured. "No one's going to take me away." He hoped he was right. When she noticed the blood, he sort of shifted to block her view, shaking his head. "Nothing," he noted, looking up at the stars with her, fighting a cough. "You see that star, the really bright one," he asked her, pointing to it. "That's the north star. Follow that and you can find your way anywhere, isn't that cool?"
