Sera sat in the shadows of the room, her chest tight with guilt. She watched as Finn walked in, his face twisted in agony, both from the fire and the weight of the pain he carried within himself. Her stomach churned with every tear that fell from his eyes. It wasn’t just the physical scars that shattered her—it was the emotional ones too, the ones she had inflicted. She hated herself. The way she’d burned him, how she’d let herself be consumed by the mind control. It hadn’t been her. But it was. She could see it now, the horror in her own eyes as she remembered the way his skin had blistered and blackened under her fire, his screams that still echoed in her nightmares. How could she ever make up for that? She wanted to reach out to him, to say something, anything, but the words were trapped in her throat. What could she say? That she was sorry? That she didn’t mean it? That she wasn’t in control? It didn’t matter. The damage had been done. Sera had gone to him, though—her hands were gentle, her love unwavering. Would Finn ever feel whole again? Would he ever look in the mirror and not see the monster she’d made him? Sera couldn’t answer that. She could barely look at him now without the weight of her actions threatening to crush her. How could she possibly ask him to forgive her when she couldn’t forgive herself? Sera's heart shattered when she saw Finn standing there, tears streaming down his face, looking so utterly broken. She stepped forward, but her legs felt like they were made of stone, heavy with the weight of what she had done. She opened her mouth, but nothing came out at first. “I… Finn, I—” Her voice cracked, and she clutched at her chest, her hands trembling. She hadn’t meant for this to happen. She never wanted this for him. Tears spilled from her eyes as she took a shaky step closer, her breath hitching in her throat. “I’m so sorry… I’m so sorry…” Her words tumbled out in frantic whispers. “I didn’t mean for any of this… for you to feel this way… I—please, Finn, I didn’t… I swear I didn’t…” She covered her face with her hands, the guilt gnawing at her like a wild animal. “You’re not hideous, Finn. You’re not. You’re… you’re so much more than what you think you are. I… I just—I don’t know how it happened, I didn’t—” Her voice broke, and she sobbed, her whole body shaking with the weight of her regret. “Please forgive me. I never wanted to hurt you, never, ever. I swear on everything that I didn’t want this…” Sera sank to her knees, her body wracked with sobs. She was so sorry. So, so sorry. Edited at January 29, 2025 08:25 PM by Hudie

Sera’s heart broke as she felt Finn's arms around her, shaking with emotion. She wanted to say something, anything to make him stop blaming himself, but her own chest tightened with grief. She could feel his tears soaking into her shirt, and though she wanted to pull him closer, to tell him that *she* was the one who failed him, she just couldn't find the words. She gently ran her hand over his back, a soft, futile attempt to comfort him. She knew that no matter what she said, it wouldn’t erase the pain inside him. Finn had always blamed himself for things that weren't his fault, and this time, it seemed no different. "I’m here," she whispered, though it felt empty. "You're not disgusting, Finn. You're not." But even as she said it, she felt the weight of their shared pain. She didn't know how to fix any of this—how to make him believe her. She sniffled, gently lifting his face up to meet hers, touching her lips to his. She continued to feel tears streak her cheeks, but she needed Finn to know her love for him.

Sera’s heart shattered as Finn’s tears soaked into her shirt, his pain so raw it felt like her own. She gently cupped his face, tilting his head up to look at her. Her voice was soft, but filled with all the warmth she could offer. "Finn, you are not disgusting," she whispered. "Zoya... You’ve been through so much, and she just... she doesn’t understand yet. But I do. And I’m here. You’re beautiful. You’re *everything* to me." She pressed her forehead to his, grounding him with her presence. "I love you, Finn. You’re perfect just as you are. Don’t ever think differently." She kissed him, tender and slow, hoping her touch could ease the storm inside him, if only for a moment.
