"Thats the thing, Ethan. You'll have to haunt him. Youll be dead. We'll be dead. You never shouldve done this. You deserve to have a long, happy life." She ran her hands through her hair and looked up at him. "Ill never forgive myself if you die."

"I know. I definitely deserve a long and happy life. But! Too late now." His tone was far too cheerful for the circumstances. He stood up and walked around the tent, he glanced at her, an emotional mess. "Listen, I'm not mad. I don't care. I might be a little reckless but we can't change past. Just the future."

"Alex is smart, Ethan. We cant just escape. Plus, there are people all around this tent who would know what we're planning before we can start planning if we start talking about planning." She sighed, walking over to him and grabbing both of his hands in hers. "Its okay to regret it, Ethan."

"Not if we whisper." He whispered to her, a cheeky grin. "Who said I regretted it?" He tilted his head. He was far too simple for for all of those weird feelings that Asta was clearly feeling. He had hope that Zeus would be safe and that is really all he needed. "Stop worrying over me, Asta, I'm with you."

She sighed. "Theres alot to worry about, with you." She just stared up at him for a few moments and then nodded. "Okay." She whispered, pulling him back to the middle of the tent. "I have a plan- I dont know if itll work. And I really shouldn't be telling you about it in case one of those brutes are paying attention." She glared at him sternly. "But looking at our options it seems like the best." She was being extremely vague, and bit her lip like she didn't quite want to tell him.

He tilted his head, a plan. He hold onto one of her hands and leaned in so she could hear his whisper better. "As much as I'd like to know, you don't have to tell me unless I need to do something." He looked into her eyes like a puppy, ignoring the slightly frightening glare from her.

She nodded. "Just one thing. Two, actually. From this point forward you will do whatever I say, without question. And... dont die. Thats it. Thats all I want. But you have to agree to it." She squeezed his hand gently.

"Okay." He said lightheartedly. "I agree or whatever you want me to say." He ran his thumb up and down the back of her hand gently.

"Promise me." She leaned forward and laid her head on his chest, waiting for him to agree, intertwining their fingers tightly.

He hesitantly spoke, putting his hand over her back and waist. "I promise." He smiled down at her. "Do whatever you need," He said softly, kissing the top of her head.
