Camery Valatieri - Camery nodded gently to him, the soft movements of his hand on her back some sort of a comfort. She knew he said that he wouldn't go anywhere... but more than once now he'd ran away from her. And this time, he'd really hurt himself, and that was her fualt. When he said he was all hers, though, she knew that to be true. She knew he wanted her in his life, just like she wanted him in hers. "I know," she whispered. "And I'm all yours," she added gently. |

Malakai Negri - Malakai nodded, squeezing her tight before pulling away. He stared into her eyes, non-verbally telling her how much he loved her. He leaned in, slowly leaning in towards her lips. Though, Kai didn't kiss her just yet. He brushed his nose against hers, not kissing her. She could pull away if she wanted to, he wouldn't force her to do anything. |

Camery Valatieri - Camery looked up at him when he squeezed her, almost getting caught up in those perfectly blue eyes of his. She knew he cared about her. She knew he loved her, even if she forgot just how much sometimes. She felt him lean in, and went still for a moment, her hands still holding lightly onto his forearms. All of a sudden, her breath had gotten heavy and her cheeks had flushed up. She leaned in for a split second, but shook her head softly, resting her head on his forehead. "Malakai," she murmured softly. "You know I love you. But now just isn't a good time," she whispered. She hated turning him away like this, but the truth of it was that she couldn't give him anything. God, her parents didn't even know where she was, and especially with whoever had tried to hurt him still out there. |

Malakai Negri - Kai sighed and closed his eyes. It hurt to be pushed away again and again. He nodded and leaned back, opening his eyes again. He tried to hide the hurt in his eyes, but there was too much of it to hide. "Its okay... I understand..." he breathed. |

Camery Valatieri - Camery furrowed her brows at him after a moment, and gently squeezed his arms. He looked so defeated. She didn't want to hurt him... that was the last thing she wanted. A hand ran up his shoulder and to his neck, looking at him for a moment before dropping her head and resting it on his chest. "I'm sorry," she whispered. She wanted to kiss him, to hold onto him so tight that it hurt, but she couldn't not right now, with all this going on. "I want to," she murmured gently. "But I just... can't," she continued. |

Malakai Negri - Kai nodded and sighed, unable to look at her directly. "I know..." he muttered. He wanted her so badly, to kiss her, to hold her, to love her. It hurt so badly to be denied that yet again. He felt deflated and defeated. There was so much bad in his life right now, he was hoping for her to be the good, but yet again, denied again. |

Camery Valatieri - She lifted her head after a moment, and it admittedly hurt to find that he couldn't even look at her. She slipped her hands to his cheeks, and didn't really give him any other choice but to look her in the eyes. She drew in a soft breath. "Malakai, I love you," she stated simply. She did love him, more than she could describe, even if it had taken her a while to find that love again. She didn't know why, but when she found out he was from the night kingdom, she couldn't love him. Not right away. She didn't see him as the same person, but it was different now. He was still Malakai. She closed her eyes for a moment. "If I could kiss you right now I would," she added softly |

Malakai Negri - Kai was now rather confused. He was under the impression that she wouldn't kiss him because she didn't want to... "...why? Why can't you kiss me?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. For some reason, this hurt even more than her straight out not wanting to kiss him. "I'm right here, I love you and you love me- why?" |

Camery Valatieri - Camery's brows furrowed slightly, biting her cheek as she tried to find a way she could explain it all in a way he understood her. She could see that he didn't. She let go of his face, and rested her hands on his shoulders. "Kai, tensions are high right now with everyone," she whispered. He'd trapped the royalty of nearly all of the kingdoms in the castle. Everyone was on edge. "And emotions are too. I love you, but with whoever tried to hurt you is still on the loose, I can't relax. No one can," she continued carefully. "I miss my family, and after all this I don't even know if they'd let me come back here," she added gently. "I don't want to do something that will make it all harder later... does that make sense? It would be better to wait until things have calmed down a little, don't you think?" She whispered softly to him, desperately hoping he understood her. |
