Sophia stifled a laugh "why is your brain shutting off?" She twisted to the side a little so she could see him but made sure her shoulder didn't dig into his chest.

"My brain and no sleep are horrible enemies." He answered with a small grin. "As you have seen, I look like a zombie without sleep, and my brain shuts off after about... 12 am." He glanced at a clock, which read 12:03 am. "Right on time."

Sophia rolled her eyes "they why have you been letting me keep you up! Get some sleep! If in order for you to get sleep means I have to get up then I will. " she poked his nose. "Get sleep. You have that game tomorrow. You need sleep"

Zephyr laughed a little as Sophia immediately responded with commands. "Don't bite my head off." He joked, groping for his phone before setting an alarm early enough he'd be able to get ready to go to school. "Okay okay okay. I'll sleep. But I probably won't wake up again so bye." He joked quietly, but true to his word, within seconds of closing his eyes, he went limp and obviously fell into a drowsy sleep.

Sophia smiled a little when he fell asleep. She laid her head on his chest and closed her eyes, falling asleep a few minutes later. Sophia woke up with a jerk when Zephyrs alarm went off. She slowly stood and stretched, walking to her room and changed after her speedy shower. She came back out in leggings and a T shirt. "Ok. I'm ready. Are you? Also should I ride with you or drive my car?" She picked up her backpack and looked at Zephyr

Zephyr didn't wake immediately after the alarm- surprise surprise- but when his only heat source left he awoke pretty quickly, in time to see Sophia disappearing into the hallway. He blinked a couple times, trying to figure out where he was. Quickly the events of the night came pouring back. After about 5 minutes he pushed himself off the floor with a slight wince, stretching and audibly hearing his back Crack and pop. He hurriedly pulled on his own clothes in a spare bathroom he had found and came out right before her, re-organizing his bag. When she appeared again he glanced that way, obviously still half asleep. "I'm... almost.. ready." He answered slowly. "And my truck. I don't... want to leave.. it here." The thought process was obviously a bit hard, but he got the words out. He stood and slung the bag over his shoulder, in more black jeans and a navy blue shirt. Rather plain. That's just how he rolled.

(I've got more ideas for drama though hehe. Something needs to happen to one of her parents) - Sophia winced a little "you look rough..." she started down the stairs, grabbing her keys and a bagel and heading out the door. "Ill frive my car and you can take your truck. " she said before throwing her bag in the back and getting in. She waited for Zephyr to pull out of the driveway first.

(I've got great ideas for drama, too. One that I'm putting in action right now. Ima rush this scene so I can get to it lol) - Zephyr winced as well. "Thanks. Very uplifting." He combed his fingers through his hair and tried to smooth it out. It mostly worked. He then awoke his brain and walked out to his truck, putting his bag in and driving out. At the school he started to turn to Sophia when his coach called his name. He glanced at her before leaving to go to his coach, who took up all his time before class speaking with him. Zephyr then rushed to his first class, through art (pretend they talked) through lunch (pretend they talked xD) and to the game. He was leaving school early to get ready, but the game wouldn't start till after school ended. Driving to the school he was going to have the game at, he changed into his uniform and met up with the coach and the rest of the team. 30 minutes later the big game started. They were nearing the very end, and struggling. The other team was good- too good. They were tied at the moment. Last play. Their ball. Zephyr got passed the ball. He bolted for the hoop, knowing he needed to get as close as possible. The other team was hot on his heels so he ran even faster almost missing the ball once he was dribbling so quickly. When another person from the other team entered his field of vision from the side, time seemed to slow. The other person rammed into him hard enough to hurt. He was going too fast to stop. He reeled to the side and the ground quickly spiraled up towards him. Or was he going towards it? He couldn't tell at this point. The hoop pole was in between him and the concrete, though- but the pole was metal. He hit it with his shoulder, hearing a sickening Crack and then searing pain shot through his shoulder. The next thing he knew his head collided with the ground and the world went black.

AHHHHHH) - Sophia got in her car and followed Zephyr. When she was about to speak, the basketball coach pulled him aside. She waited for a second before going to class. (Blahh blahh blahh. )After school, Sophia got in her car and drove to the opposing teams school. She cheered along with the crowd until the last play. She fumbled with the hem of her shirt as they ran. Then suddenly her worst fear happened. As Zephyr made impact with the pole, she and the rest of the crowd gasped. She jumped to her feet. "Zephyr!" She yelled. She tried to get down the stands, but there were too many people and she couldn't push past them. "No no no" she said, pushing some people out of the way.

(AHHHAHAHAHA) - The two coaches quickly rushed out onto the court and some people called 911. Zephyr was unconscious through it all, laying twisted on the concrete. Soon sirens wailed and an ambulance pulled in. Medics rushed in, and in a flash, he was gone, rushed to the hospital. Zephyr could faintly hear voices in his ringing ears, some he recognizing and some he didn't. He groaned quietly and slowly opened his eyes. Bright light washed in, almost blinding him, and his ears rang. Everyone silenced and turned to him, his parents rushing forward first. After hours of him waking up and speaking everyone had left- what a supportive family- and the doctor walked in. "Zephyrus Lawrence? I have a few things to tell you. When you fell you just about shattered your shoulder. There's good news and bad news. The good news is that it'll be mostly fine. The bad news is that you'll probably never be able to play basketball again. You won't be able to lift that shoulder far above your head, which is neccesary for Basketball. I'm sorry. Now, you also got a concussion and I'm glad you know who everyone is..." His voice trailed off as Zephyr stared into space. He couldn't do basketball??? How...? What was he supposed to do? A feeling of hopelessness crashed over him as his eyes glazed over.
