Ryker, being the Olympic champion sleeper he was, didn't wake up when Abby moved. He was very dead asleep. He wasn't even dreaming, like a lot of people so often did when they didn't want to awaken. He was just.. blank sleeping. A little later after Abby had left, he finally brought his consciousness back to life, prying open his eyes and noticing she wasn't beside him. Or even in the room. Buuuut that was expected, really- she always awoke earlier than him. Ryker rolled over in the bed and managed to push himself out of it, although he was still partially asleep so walking was a bit of a challenge. He stumbled into the living room- no one there- then the kitchen, which was when he realized, even in his drowsy state, with a jolt, that there was bacon on the ceiling. His brain took a couple seconds longer than necessary to process the information, and he swore he looked back and forth from Abby and the bacon at least 3 times. "You... got up early, didn't you? Did you just paint this? The paint is still wet, I can see. It's really good. And it shows that I'm still tired enough to think it was actual bacon." He commented with a half smile as he yawned, walking over and leaning against the counter to study the rather lifelike picture of actual bacon on their ceiling. A smile slowly grew on his face as he thought about it. "I bet we are the only people ever who did this..." He finally grinned.

Abby smiled as she ambled down off of the counter. "You're welcome, Mister Paint-Me-Bacon." She stopped for a second. "That was a terrible comeback" she giggled at herself while she put the lids on the paints and cleaned the brushes off. "I woke up not long ago so I decided I would surprise you! Do you like it?"

Even in his mental sleeping state, Ryker still tilted his head and raised an eyebrow at her words. "Special choice of word usage. Now you gotta Paint me a country ham... honey glazed with a side of yams.. make it a beautiful golden brown... pineapples all the way around..." He trailed off with a wide grin. "I am thoroughly surprised, and yes I love it." He laughed, shaking his head slightly. "You are full of surprises."

"I think at this point, I am a surprise!" Abby ignored his first comment. +I am not going to have a full thanksgiving breakfast, lunch, and dinner up there+ she though with an eye roll. Abby wrapped her arms around him in a hug before plopping down on a seat. "I know it's early but I still have some minor things I have to do..." (where should the wedding be at? A field with wild horses? A church? A barn? A lake? What? I threw out the horses ones cause they are both horse freaks )

(Totally a field with wild horses. Near a lake) +×+ Ryker nodded vigorously and grinned as he knew she purposefully ignored his first comment. "Aw c'mon, I think some mashed potatoes, stuffing, ham, and rolls would go great on our ceiling!" He laughed, imagining how hungry he would he every time he walked into the kitchen. "Like what?" He inquired before shifting slightly. "Anything I can help with?"

Ok!) - "Like picking flowers and table arrangements. Small things that people could do themselves but for some reason I have to tell them where to sit and who to sit by" she grew more and more annoyed with it that she slid the binder away at the end. "Nevermind. I'm done. I'm tired, haven't gotten good sleep, and there's only four days left. " Abby leaned back on the chair. "Ughhhh it's killing me from the inside out" Edited at March 29, 2024 10:01 AM by Dandelion Farms

Ryker arched an eyebrow. Table arrangements. Huh. "And what family do you suppose I'm bringing?" He mumbled under his breath, but something popped into his head, someone he hadn't seen in a long time. Abby might kill him for it, but he was totally telling his sort of adoptive father to come. Since he had kinda run away from his home, he needed to learn somewhere how to do everything, and he happened to find the most awesome guy in the world to teach him. That guy was just a little... special. To other people. "Who are you thinking of inviting?" He asked on a whim, mostly because he didn't think there'd be too many people there. Only one from his side, anyway. "How have you not gotten good sleep!? You slept on me yesterday and half on me last night and you STILL haven't slept well?" He asked with joking astonishment. "Don't let it stress you out." Ryker added as he poked her side. "It never helps."

Abby saw he was thinking. "Here's the list..." she handed him a piece of paper... with four names. "My Nanna, Mom, Dad, and your Dad" she said a little hesitant. "I have no way of reaching him so I thought I would ask you too...?" Then she turned, putting her hand on his shoulder and tugging him closer. "You are very comfortable, but my mind keeps waking me up and telling me i need to do this or do that." She giggled and almost fell out of the chair trying to dodge his poke, but it didn't work. She fell into a pile of giggles. "Ahh don't do that!"

Ryker held back the urge to burst into an uncontrollable fit of laughter. "You mean my abusive cruel alcoholic dad that I'm not sure is still alive or my *took me in as a teenager and taught me not all people are cruel* dad?" He asked with a snort, kind of mostly joking. Then, quickly switching the subject. "It'll be good to meet your parents." He then focused on her next words, although some uneasy part of him was still reminded of his days being whipped with a belt because his real dad FELT like it. "Tell your mind to just pass out like mine does." He commented like it was the most easy thing in the world to do. Ryker grinned as she tried to squirm away. "Don't do whaaaatt?" He asked as he slowly poked her side again.

"The good one. The one who took you in. That Dad! You need to call him or something. " she giggled at his snort "yes. It will be good to meet my parents although I don't think they are even coming. I haven't talked to them in about a year and a half. Last time I really talked to them was when I got Sun... then, of coarse, to invite them to the wedding. They didn't seem that interested though" then she jumped out of the chair "my mind DOESNT just pass out like yours does! And stop poking meeeeee!!!" She ran over to the couch, using it as a shield
