When I was in 6th grade I had shin splints, I tried talking to my track coach (I did hurdles) and she said that if I wasn't limping I was fine. So you know what little me asked to do? I went to the "bathroom" and instead hid in a locker until track was over, probably looked weird coming out of the locker but eh.
