Mari smiled and gave a title bit of a chuckle to him. It was amusing... that something so awful could make you feel so much better but she supposed, in Sages case, it was worked. "I'm glad," she noted as she moved to sit up again. She then grinned. "I can't wait to see him... my boy," she mused happily. "And your mother in law will be worried, no doubt," she mused. She would be, too... it was all rather sudden, she supposed. She watched him grab a cracker, unable to help the happy smile on her face. Good... at least he was eating now. Even if it was just a cracker. When he flopped down onto her, she smiled lightly and moved to peck his lips with a happy sounding him.

Sage hummed lightly and nodded in response to the girl's comment. "Me too," he mused lightly. He did miss his baby, even though he really wasn't so much of a baby anymore, but still. Then he wrinkled his nose slightly and nodded. "I don't know how you let her know, but if it was the doctor, he probably didn't give many details to her," he chuckled lightly in a rather fond manner.

Mari chuckled at the thought but shrugged after a moment or two. "Please, that woman knows everything. I'm sure that if the doctor sent the guard away with details, then she's gonna know exactly what's going on," she mused lightly to him. Plus, the doctor loved Sage like his own, so if it meant everyone else that cared about informed on him, then she would have been kept informed. "I'm sure she would have been happy to have Silas no matter what happened, though... I can only hope this next one is as easy as he is," she noted after a moment or two.

Sage chuckled lightly and then shrugged, reaching for another cracker. "Well, I guess we'll find out once she gets here," he decided. "At least she'll be coming in to see me awake and not passed out on the bed," he noted with a slight chuckle. Then he hummed lightly and nodded at her comment about the baby, and looked over at her stomach happily. "I can't wait to meet it though," he chirped. "Does this one kick like Silas did," he asked curiosly. She was quite far in her pregnancy...around seven months...so she could feel if it did something most likely.

Mari nodded in agreement. The woman would be here any minute... she was just as glad as he was that she would be coming in to see her son in law awake. She then gave a happy smile. "It's been moving, yeah," she chirped happily as she placed a hand on her stomach. "Not as much as he did, but moving all the same." She ran her hand around her bump for a moment as she found a spot where you could actually feel the little one moving around. "Want to feel?" She asked lightly as she took his hand, kind of repeating the movement as she went to get the little spot.

Sage chuckled lightly and then peered over at her bump when she mentioned the baby had been moving around. He grinned when she guided his hand over to the spot and pressed himself over against her gently with a happy hum. "I can't wait to see it," he mused lightly. Feeling it was absolutely wonderful, yes, but the two or so months she had left of the pregnancy seemed like an eternity. He had no idea how they'd waited this long for Silas. But he resting his head on her shoulder happily, just sort of snuggling in a little bit with her. Well, both of them, he supposed. He definitely still didn't feel wonderful, but he was well enough to talk for a bit. And he did want to see Silas.

Mari smiled lightly to him after a moment, a heavy breath escaping her. "I can't either," she murmured softly. "I can't wait to see it either," she murmured quietly to him. She was thrilled... the fact that she'd gotten pregnant in such a short space of time was amazing in itself. "Can't wait for Silas to see it. He's going to be a wonderful big brother, I know it," she chirped happily to him. She smiled lightly when he started to snuggle in with his head on his shoulder, the movement really very relaxing. After another ten minutes, though, she heard a soft knock in the wall outside the curtain, of which she was sure was her mother. "Sage hun," she hummed lightly to get him to sit up. "Come in," the then chirped happily.

Sage chuckled lightly and hummed in agreement to the girl's comment. "Silas will love having a playmate," he mused happily. He was more than content to snuggle up for a while and relax with her, though he lifted his head from her shoulder once she mentioned to him that her mother was here. He stayed curled up against her side, though, since he was comfortable and everything. He had a grin on his face when he saw the older woman and their baby though, and it really only grew when the boy seemed happy to see them, reaching his chubby little arms over in their direction and babbling happily.

Mari smiled happily when she saw the look on her sons face, and reached over to grab him from her mother and held him close to her chest. "Hi baby," she chirped happily as she pecked his forehead. He wasn't really a baby... actually, he had to be nearly two now. More of a toddler. She'd been pregnant for seven months, and all sorts had happened before that... yeah, nearly two years. He babbled happily to them as she handed him to Sage, s curious look on her face as she looked at a huge basket on the side. "What've you got?" She asked with s bit of s chuckle."I brought some gifts - just snacks from the bakery," the older woman chirped happily.

Sage grinned happily when he saw the boy babble happily, and chuckled when Mari scooped him up right away. "Hey little man," he chirped once the baby was handed off to him, happily playing about with the boy as Mari asked what was in the basket. He raised his eyebrows slightly when the older woman said she'd brought stuff from the bakery. They did, in fact, smell delicious now that he thought about it. He turned his attention back to Silas, who was reaching over to try and grab the IV tubes still in his wrist. "No, no, don't play with that," he chided the boy lightly, shifting him over so he could play with the end of the blanket of the bed. The doctor wouldn't mind that so much.
