"...love you..." he said quietly, finishing his sentence to no one. He flopped back onto the bed, scrolling through his phone. A notification popped up on his phone, it was Valentines Day. It seemed both of them had completely forgotten. Well, with that, Noah went out to the store, buying heaps of roses for her, and all the cheesy gifts. A teddy bear, chocolates, even a pretty nice, expensive necklace. While he was running his errand, he ran into Henry, his ex from a while ago. They'd been best friends since forever but just fell out of touch for a while. It was good to see him again. They chatted for a good while there, even getting lunch together. Once Noah got home, he set everything up, sprinkling rose petals everywhere and on the island in the kitchen, he'd set out her gifts and even made them a nice dinner. Noah had put a lot of effort into it. He'd set everything up, surely she'd notice and remember it was Valentines Day.
