After a short while, Ellie turned to face him, her deep blue eyes full of thought and mist. "Maybe Sam," she started quietly after a long while, placing her hand on the side of his cheek to softly tilt his head towards her, "It's just to soon to know." She whispered before taking her hand back. Edited at May 26, 2021 04:03 PM by Belle

"maybe." Sam said, his gaze lingering on her as she dropped her hand. his mind settled on it, but he knew, at some point, he would have to know. But for now, it was too perfect. Slowly, still looking up at the stars, Sam took Ellie's hand and wrapped his fingers around hers. It felt right, somehow.

She smiled an a greement before letting her finger wind their way around his. She decided she was going to be in silance, because noise didn't seem right. She rolled back onto her back and took a small breath in. She felt stupid for not knowing the answer but nither did he. She should know how she felt, should she not? So why was this so difficult? That was a question no-one knew the answer to. She closed her eyes slightly, holding Sams hand gently between them.

Sam felt himself drifting into sleep as he lay on the fluffy grass with Ellie by his side. He awoke early in the morning, Ellie still snoozing by his side. Slowly he got up and stretched, before grabbing a blanket and laying it over Ellie so she didnt get too cold when she awoke. After doing the horses, he went back and sat next to her, waiting for her to wake.

Ellie let herself relax peacefully, only really stirring when she felt Sam move, but soon after there was a blanket of warmth that had washed over her and she fell back into her warm rest. it was an hour or so before she started to wake, bur that was only because when she turned to wrap an arm around Sams side, he wasn't there. Panic shot through her before sge saw him sitting peacefully at her head. "Oh...Morning," she said said softly.

"hey, sleep well?" he asked. The sun was just rising and the yard was begining to turn a light golden colour, the horse's heads illuminated in the glow. Sam looked back at Ellie, who's hair was messed allover the place, and he chuckled lightly at the sight.

"Mhm..." she murmured with heavy eyes as she sat up. "Have you finished the horses already." She questioned as she hugged the blanket . (sorry, super short)

(no problem!) "yep, i did Astra and Frost too for you, they were hungry." Said Sam, hoping she wouldnt mind. Taking a sip from the strawberry and linseed smoothie he had brought with him as breakfast, he leant back on his hands to watch the happy horses frolicking joyfully in the field.

"Thanks," she murmured with a smile as she ran her hands through her knotted hair. "I'm sure they appreciate it. I'm normally there to see them," she said lightly as she watched him with thought."enjoying that?" She asked with a dreary laugh

"not bad, want some?" he said, offering her the bottle full of pink goop. "judging by your face, ill take that as a no." he said, chuckling at Ellies politely disgusted face. Yeah, the smoothie tasted like slime, but at least it was healthy. Downing the last bit of it, he set down his bottle and looked over at Ellie, who was fighting with her tangled hair again. He laughed lightly.
