~The Next Day~ Adrien Pirla -☆- Adrien dragged himself downstairs, wearing sweats and his favorite, olive green sweater. He sat down at the bar and sighed quietly, glancing to his side. The door was slightly ajar.... huh. Adriens curiousity got the better of him, making him stand and walking to the door. He opened it slightly to reveal his unconscious father. Adrien stared a moment before his eyes were drawn to a letting gripped in his hand. Adrien carefully took the letter and slipped back inside. Dad could wake up later. Adrien sat down at the bar again, turning the letter over in his hands. He didn't know what to think of it. Maybe he could ask Aaron? He glanced to his side, seeing her keys already gone. Right. She was working. Adrien sighed and rubbed his face tiredly. He was praying for summer to come quicker...

Nick Browns - Nick barely slept that night, his reaccuring nightmares waking him up, and then crying himself to sleep again. When he woke, for good, he still felt empty and depressed, but he forced himself up and out of bed. He walked stiffly over to the door, unlocking it and leaving. Nicks head was pounding with a terrible headache from all the crying. It still hurt to move, as he wasn't healed yet. He still wore the same clothes he showed up here in. Black sweats and a blood stained white tshirt. Nick managed to find his way to the kitchen and spotted Adrien sitting at the counter. Nick grimaced at this. He knew Adrien didn't really like him, so Nick didn't want to bother him with his exsistence. But he wanted to know where Aaron was, because at least she like him. Though he still felt bad about bothering either of them with his problems. "Um.. do you know where Aaron is?" he asked hoarsely, standing in the kitchen doorway. Nick looked terrible, his face was tearstained, his eyes where red from crying and he had dark circles underneath his eyes, a mark of his exhaustion and lack of sleep. Thankfully he didn't have school today or tomorrow, as it was the weekend, but he'd hafta worry about going on Monday later.

Adrien Pirla -☆- Adrien jolted at the sound of another voice. Right. He wasn't alone. He shifted a bit to turn around, facing Nicholas. The dark circles and bloodshot eues didnt go unnoticed. But he didn't ask. Nicholas probably wouldn't tell him anyway. "She's at work." He muttered, turning back around. "I'd advise not going out yet. Dad may wake up soon." He said, gesturing to the now closed front door. Adrien finally tore the envelope open, he wanted to know what was in it. Pulling out the paper he just stared. Two words. Which looked printed. Not written. 'Found. You.' Adrien sighed, pushing the note away and propping his elbows on the table, figging his hands into his hair, pulling on the curly strands. He needed to do something. Anything. Something other then break down about how much shit he needed to do and how much was bothering him at the moment. "Do you want anything to eat or do you need anything?" Adrien asked, having no idea whether Nicholas had stuck around. Probably not. Nicholas didn't seem to like him much. Which was going to be a problem for the whole tutoring thing...

Nick Browns - Nick frowned at the boys response. He really wished Aaron was here. Nick nodded to acknowlage that he had heard, and he turned to leave, but he heard Adrien as him a question. "No, I'm fine." he lied, looking back at the boy sitting at the counter. Adrien looked stressed. Nick, being Nick, wanted to help, even though, truthfully, Nick was the one who needed help. He debated for a moment on whether or not he should try and help. If he did, Adrien would probably just push him away, which was fair, they didn't really know each other very well. And Nick knew Adrien didn't like him, he probably didn't even want him around his house. But his stupid, caring and vaulnerable side got the best of him. "...is everything ok? You seem a little... stressed." he asked quietly, turning back to him, and he started to fiddle with his hands nervously.

Adrien Pirla -☆- "No, Nicholas, I'm not fine. My father is passed out on the porch, a random letter was with him, Aaron isn't here and I had to find her passed out on the floor last night, and you hate my guts." He rambled, standing as he ran a hand through his hair, pulling at the hair roughly. He winced as he pulled his hand away, which, had strands of hair he pulled from his scalp in it. Adrien sighed quietly and glanced over at the table. Adrien moved his hands away, shoving them in his pockets and digging his nails into his palm roughly. He stared at Nicholas for a moment before looking away at the door. Edited at August 20, 2024 01:13 PM by Oakwood Barn

Nick Browns - Most of Adriens problems weren't problems he could really help with or solve for him. But there was one, he could at least help with. "I'm sorry you have to go through this kind of stuff, you don't deserve that." he said looking at Adrien. "But, I don't hate you. Actually I think your probably one of the coolest people I've met, but I know your not a fan of me, so I don't bother you with my exsistance." He said honestly, now looking down at his feet sheepishly. Edited at August 20, 2024 02:02 PM by Burning Rose Equine

Adrien Pirla -☆- "The fuck do you mean I hate you? You know how to surf, my sister likes you, Trixie didn't kill you, your popular." Adrien listed in confusion, gesturing with one hand. "What are you talking about? When have I ever given "I hate you vibes?" I mean... I get I'm not the most enjoyable person but do I really give off "I hate everything" vibes?" Adrien added in confusion. He dug his finger nails further into his hand, moving his other hand down by his side as he finally managed to stare at Nicholas. Mostly in complete confusion.

Nick Browns - Nick didn't know how to respond, confused as well. "Um- I- I don't know... I tend to take things really personally, it was probably just been me, I- sorry..." he rambled and stuttered, truely unsure what to say to that. He had used his favorite downfall, when in doubt, blame yourself. Things where normally his fault anyway, so it just was easier to put the blame on himself. Nick kept his eyes down, and he kept playing with his hands nervously. He obviously wasn't the best person to be in this situation, as he didn't really know what to do now other than blame himself.

Adrien Pirla -☆- Adrien stared at Nicholad for a long time, eyebrows furrowing. "It's not your fault, I-" He was cut off by the door opening with a loud bang. Adri3n flinched as he looked over at the front door. "Go sit in the attic please." He told Nicholas after seeing his hungover looking father in the doorway. Adrien walked over to his dad. "Dad..." He muttered, his dad just grunted at him and stumbled by him. "... you got a letter." Adrien informed him. He earned another grunt. Adrien sighed and closed his eyes for a moment. When he opened them, his dad had stumbled to the master bedroom and was probably passed out again, or puking. Looking around, he saw Nicholas had followed his advice. Which was... good. Adrien just hoped the other boy wouldn't touch any of his things. Adrien sunk into a barstool again, running his hands into his hair and tugging at the strands again. Of course dad hadn't talked to me. I'm the reason his great wife is dead again... of course. He thought to himself, frowning as he pushed his palms into his eyes, halting any tears that threatened to fall uninvited.

Nick Browns - Nick followed Adriens instructions and awkwardly and stiffly ran towards the stairs. Eventually he made it to the attic. He entered quickly and shut the door quietly behind him. Looking around, the attic looked like comeplete heaven. The golden light slanted in from the window, illuminated the room. There was a painting in the corner over by the window, that didn't look quite finished yet, but it was already gorgeous. Nick knew Aaron had little to no artistic talent or skill, so this must be Adriens space. It felt very homey, and cozy, probably due to the earthy tones, and the magnificent view of the beach. There was a sofa against the far wall, decorated with many many pillows, but Nick felt weird about sitting on it. So instead he plopped down in the middle of the room, directly in a sun ray. He brought his his knees to his chest, feeling particularlly out of place and lonely. Edited at August 20, 2024 04:38 PM by Burning Rose Equine
