(Np, we all make short posts sometimes) Cassius Abel - Cassius frowned, slight crashing sounds were coming from the princes room. Thanks to Cassius's hearing, he could hear it all. Cassius turned around, his body twisting so that he could look inside the room. It looked pretty much the same as he left it last night, except now the beds covers were wrinkled and the bathroom door was open. Was that were the prince was? Cassius closed his eyes and turned away, maybe the prince was in there with another person, doing things.. Cassius growled, his teeth grinding together. Jealously coursed through his bones. Cassius sat on the windowsill, his hands gripping the stone underneath him. Why was he jealous? The human had the liberty to be with anyone, he was a prince. It happens. So why did he want the human for himself?

Prince Vincent Omveran ~~~ Vincent sighed, straightening up as he walked out of his bathroom. He ran a hand through his messy, red hair, glancing around as his hand fell down. He gripped his stomach, squeezing his silky shirt tightly as he looked down and sighed. Vincent dragged himself to his wardrobe, pulling it open and looking through his clothing items. Finding a fancy shirt and some of his more comfortable pants, he pulled them out and laid the clothing down on his desk. Vincent undid his silky pajama shirt top, revealing his torso, which was... mildly concerning. His skin was pulled over his ribs, not necessarily malnourished, but not eating enough at all. His ribs had two large purple bruises against his pale skin, in the marks of fists. Vincent twisted his body, grabbing his shirt, and shrugging the cloth material over his shoulders. He buttoned the shirt in the front and stripped off his pants. His calves were lined with pale scars and blood-red scabbed slits. He quickly grabbed his pants and underwear, putting them on.. He straightened up, buttoning his pants with a bit of effort. Vincent took another small breath, walking to a small plate of jewelry that had a mirror placed in front of it. Vincent stared In the mirror for a moment before turning the mirror around. He didn't want to see himself. Vincent grabbed his few rings and necklaces, placing them around his neck and cuffing his sleeves. He avoided his forearms like the plague. "It's fine, Vincent. Suck it up and go." He breathed out, tightening his jaw and putting on a hard front. He stepped to the door, placing his hand on the gold accented doorknob.

Cassius Abel - Cassius leaned forward, his hands on his cheeks. The wind ruffled his golden curls, chapping his cheeks. Cassius twitched when he heard the prince move around in his room, Cassius turned and looked into the window, seeing the prince with his shirt off. Cassius paused, like a deer in the headlights, watching the prince. But something was wrong, bruises, scars and marked the prince. Fluent rage filled the vampire, who caused this? Someone on the inside? No matter how much Cassius wanted to launch inside and demand who it was, he stayed seated, unmoving. The prince asked him to leave him alone, he couldn't do that but he could watch him from afar. Cassius turned and left the window, searching for another way into the castle. Cassius walked further down the slopes of the roof, the vampire spotted a window infront of him, he rushed over to it and looked inside, it was a store room. Cassius smiled and smashed through the window, jumping inside. A guard seemed to hear the sound and came running into the store room, Cassius grabbed the man, carefully taking off the helmet, and knocking him out. Cassius worked quickly, stripping the guard of his armour and reapplying it on himself, fitting the helmet on his head. With the armour wrapped around him like a cocoon, nobody would be able to see his identity. This way he could get close to the prince. Cassius took a step forward, growling when it dragged heavily against the floor. Why do people dress like this? Cassius walked stiffly over to where he guessed the door to the princes room was, a single guard already stood outside the door and grunted at Cassius's arrival. "Finally" he said, sneaking a look at Cassius, who was already taking up a position at the door.

(Another hint ;) Prince Vincent Omveran ~~~ Vincent took a deep breath, shoving the door open and stepping out of his room. He glanced to his side as another guard walked up and took his post. Vincent stared at the guard for a moment. Why was he so cold all of a sudden.... Vincent shivered slightly and walked off, walking toward the dining hall. His body seemed to slowly shift back to warmth, the cold seeping out of him. Vincent sighed quietly once again, walking into the dining hall. His eyes landed on his mother, father, and a very guilty looking Stephanie. Oh... right. Vincent approached his seat, sitting down in his seat. He didn't have any food on his plate. He knew that. He shouldn't have expected otherwise. "Vincent. Where were you yesterday?" His father asked, his voice booming and loud. "I was... out. With Majestic." Vincent told him, staying vague. His father's eyes narrowed. "Son. Do not be snarky with me." He growled. Vincent shrunk back in his seat. "I was out with Majestic. We- I went swimming. I lost track of time." Vincent told him, looking down at his pristine, clean plate. The king scoffed. "You had us all worried. You will not be leaving the palace without two others and unless we allow it. Am I understood?" He snapped. Vincent nodded. "Yes sir." He mumbled. Stephanie was picking at the food on her plate and his mother was staring him down. "You will also be taking mandatory lessons of discipline. We do not want you hurt and we want you to be a good husband for your wife. Please understand, we are doing this for your wellbeing." His mother cut in. Vincent tensed, standing up. "Yes mother, yes father." He said, turning and walking out. No one followed him. Edited at August 8, 2024 05:20 PM by Oakwood Barn

(Sorry it's short) Cassius Abel - Cassius watched the prince exit his room through the narrow slits in the armour, hoping the prince couldn't see his familiar amber eyes. Cassius followed the prince at a distance, giving him space, as he promised. They arrived at some sort of dining hall, the prince disappeared through the door and Cassius and the other guard took up positions at the door. Cassius tilted his head toward the door, alert. The voices inside the room were muffled but he managed to catch some conversation, "... Your... leaving the... without two... and unless.. allow it" Cassius tilted his head, clearly confused, damn these thick walls. The conversations continued on, Cassius hardly keeping up with them. "Mandatory... discipline.. for your well-being" Anger rushed through Cassius, was that what marked his arm? Discipline? A growl slipped from Cassius and the other guard looked at him just as the prince walked out. Cassius lifted a hand and put it over the mouth piece of his armour, "my bad" he said, a small smile pulling at his lips. The two guards stared at each other for a bit before turning back and following the prince.

Prince Vincent Omveran ~~~ Vincent brushed by the two guards next to him. He walked for a moment before he turned on his heel and glared at the guards. "Stop following me. Or I will personally see to it you are fed to my sister pet." He snapped. The guard on the left quickly backed away, looking panicked. Adrirn looked at he guard on the right. "Screw off." He said, turning and making his way down the hall, turning the corner and making his way toward the gardens. Vincent pushes the gate open, stepping inside the gated garden and sitting down in the grass. He covered his face, sighing quietly. He was so... done... with everything. Vincent rubbed his eyes tiredly before wincing quietly and staring at his covered right arm. Vincent sat back, shifting to sit against a tree. He couldn't care for the grass stains by now. Vincent closed his eyes, setting a hand over his stomach. He was hungry... Fuck he should have gotten something to eat from the kitchens. Vincent sighed in annoyance. He wild have to o it later, he supposed.

Cassius Abel - Cassius almost laughed outright at the princes comment, he watched the guard next to him sink back, away from the prince. Cassius swore at him, "fucking coward" he said, such a useless person shouldn't be allowed to protect the prince. Instead Cassius turned, smiling at the prince, "I would like to see you try" he said, amusement sparkling deeply in his amber eyes. The armoured vampire dropped back, only a few metres, but enough to convince the prince that he wasn't going to be disturbed. Cassius watched the prince sit in the cleanly cut grass, grass stains covering his clothes. Cassius frowned watching the prince put a hand over his stomach, a small smile decorated the vampires hidden face. He turned, exiting the small grassy garden, his steps taking him throughout the castle, his head raised to sniff out human food. Maybe if he fetched him food, he would begin to trust Cassius or speak to him instead of sending him away. The scent of some sort of human food wafted into Cassius's face, making him gag, if he was a human, he would of lifted his head and breathed in deeply. Cassius snuck around the corner of a stone wall, following the scent. A lady stood infront of a oven, her body level with the sweets tucked safely inside a oven. The vampires eyes narrowed, he moved forward, extending to his full height, looking as if to wear the armour proudly, "the prince wants some" he said in a deep voice. The lady shrieked and turned, hefting a pan in her hand and swinging at Cassius, who thanks to his vampire speed, caught the pan before it hit him. The lady stared at him, quivering, she slowly broke away from the pan, "sorry, you scared me" she said, turning and grabbing some of the sweets from the oven, wrapping them in a cloth. "sorry, I have no plates on me at the moment, well... any good ones" she said, handing the wrapped parcel to Cassius. The vampire nodded his thanks and turned away, retracking his steps back to the prince. The guard pushed the doors open, cradling the sweet treats in his right arm. "Your majesty" he said, trying to sound different to the man that the prince knew. Cassius moved forward, turning to look the prince in the eyes, amber against hazel. He reached down, his fingers splaying and taking the princes hand from his stomach, tilting it so it was palm up and placing the treats in his hand. "you look hungry" he said, grateful the other coward guard wasn't here. It was just them.

Prince Vincent Omveran ~~~ Vincent looked up, flinching as the guard he knew he had told to go away, put something in his hand. Indents stomach flipped at the sweet smell wafting from him. "Yeah... thanks." He muttered, setting them on his thigh, but not touching him. Vincent's eyes slipped closed again. "Why are you here? I told you to go away." He said coldly, opening his eyes to stare up at the dull blue sky. He shivered slightly as a cold chill ran through him. Vincent sighed, running a hand through his hair tiredly. The sweet smell of whatever the guard had given him wafted to his nose an he tilted his head away. He didn't want to smell that. Didn't the guards know he wasn't that much of a fan of sweets...? He thought they all knew that. Yeah he liked bread, but sweets were... a bit to much. He hasn't had sweets in forever. And they seemed a bit to much for now. Vincent took a deep breath, holding it for a moment before breathingit out, letting his warm breath be seen in the cold whether.

Cassius Abel - Cassius paused as the prince spoke to him, he took a small step away and bent his legs, sitting in the grass beside the prince, "you seem to tell me that a lot, but I don't listen, I hope you know" he said with a chuckle, itching to tear the helmet off of his head and run his fingers through his sweaty golden curls. "As for why I am here? Ha, I told you I will protect you" he said, quietly enjoying the conversation, his gloved fingers clumsily picking at the longer strands of grass below him. "Any bastard that backs away isn't worth protecting you, you know that right?" He said, looking at the prince, his amber eyes shimmering in the sun. "like that coward you threatened to feed to that pet of your sisters, does she truely have such a beast?" He asked, eager to keep the prince talking.

Prince Vincent Omveran ~~~ Vimcent sighed. That's why the voice sounded so familiar. It was his literal kidnapper.... great. Vincent listened to him talk, picking at the grass until he was asked a question he didn't mind responding too. "Yes... father got someone to train her a guard tiger." He sighed, picking at he blades of grass between his fingers. He shivered slightly at he cold whether. Though, he lied th chill that was seepinging into his core. It was nice. It was different then the past months had been. "I'm getting married." He said out of nowhere, the thought having wafted into his mind at the touch of the past few months. "... Hoy dhit I'm getting married." Vincent muttered in shock.
