"That's a nickname I can get behind." Dallas joked, tilting his head as she moved toward the ledge. He gave a flat look as she hit the roof on the other side, giving a soft groan and smoothing a hand over his eyes, then his mouth and jaw. He ended and set his hands on his hips, glaring at the gap. It wasn't him he was worried about; it was Buck. He let out a soft sigh and turned, picking Buck up and hugging him to his chest. "Ah, fuck." He muttered, holding the dog tightly to his chest like a child, turning and walking toward the ledge. Buck, again, simply settled and took it like a champ. It wasn't very far, and it wasn't as though Dallas was weak. He shifted Buck in his arms and swung him once, twice, and then threw him across the gap. Buck wiggled in the air and then landed on his feet on the other side, looking utterly bewildered. Dallas huffed and walked back a few steps before running at the ledge, clearing it in an effortless jump.

Robin giggled as Buck lew through the air like a little sky worm and landed on all fours, and continued giggling at Dallas's reaction. Dallas then jumped across effortlessly and Robin patted him in mock smypathy. "If only you had done it as well as Buck the air worm." She said mockingly. Giggling and starting to walk again, getting to another ladder she looked at Dallas. "We're going down here which will lead to a main street that I blocked off from zombies. We can then get to the Yoner bridge and into the shopping stores. Sound good?" She asked, not really going to listen if he said some shit like, "No not good."

"Unfortunately, not all of us were blessed with the ability to wriggle uncomfortably in the air and still look adorable." Dallas sighed, mocking sadness. He picked Buck up again and followed her to the latter, beginning to descend after her. He let Buck down from a few rungs up, rolling his eyes and going to hop off the latter. He landed closer to her than he expected, so they were almost chest to chest, but he didn't seem all that phased. "Sure, boss. Glad I got some input." He mocked, grinning down at her and setting his hands on his hips. He lifted his gaze to look over her, nodding his head to the street they were headed to. "After you, boss." He teased, bringing his gaze back down to her. Edited at March 11, 2024 08:07 PM by Widow Valley Farms

Robin rolled her grey eyes again. "You didn't really get an opinion, Mr. cocky." She said, beginning to walk into a building through a back door. She got inside and pulled out her machete. Holding it by her side she walked past doors and from halls, to the front of the building. She opened the door quietly and sipped out, checking the area a bit for zombies before opening the door again for Dallas and Buck. When Buck wiggled through the door she started walking, not entirely waiting for Dallas but not walking at her normal pace. She kept watch as she walked, hoping they didn't get stuck in a hoard. She walked like this with Dallas and Buck following her until she got to the bridge, stepping on to it she took a breath, steadying her nerves and taking a few more steps as they start over the bridge.

"Yeah. I noticed." Dallas scoffed, following her with Buck just ahead of him as the entered the building. He withdrew his newfound dagger from its sheath and readied it in his palm, moving calmly through the store. He followed her through the store and out the exit, tensing as the door nearly shut on him before he caught up. "Thanks for waiting." He muttered beneath his breath, walking easily toward the bridge, his eyes scanning the area in front of him. He wasn't hesitant like her when it came to the bridge, simply beginning the trek warily.

Robin was walking slowly, she hated bridges.... for many reasons. Some of which she was not going to voice in front of Dallas. She kept walking, she sheathed her machete and crossed her arms, trying to stop herself from trembling as she crossed the bridge, trying to not fall to behind Dallas and Buck. Who seemed perfectly fine. Yay them. She felt a bit bitter but ignored it as she tried to not shake as she walked. Edited at March 11, 2024 09:34 PM by Oakwood Barn

Dallas wavered when he realized Robin was struggling to keep up with his brisk pace. He slowed wordlessly, his head tilted down at her in unspoken curiousity. His eyebrows furrowed as she trembled faintly, and he slowed even more. He set his hand gently on the small of her back in an attempt to steady or comfort her, looking genuinely concerned as he brought their walk to a halt. "Are you okay?" He asked worriedly, Buck pausing at his side.

Robin startled a bit when Dallas touched her back. She kept walking but was surprised. Wow was she tuch-starved. She leaned into Dallas's side, liking the feeling of human touch again. -I don't like bridges.- She considered saying. But thought different of itwhen she thought he might think she was weak. "Nothing, just bad memories." She told him, taking a breath and continuing to walk as she had been. - (You still here?) Edited at March 11, 2024 10:28 PM by Oakwood Barn

Dallas simply kept peering at her when she startled, having expected the reaction. He moved with her, his palm staying steady on her back. The only thing that surprised him was the fact that she leaned into his side rather than swatting at him or shoving him off. He slid his hand hesitantly to rest on the lower part of her opposite ribcage, gently pulling her to his side. He wasn't usually timid or shy about touching others, but she was his only companion. He wasn't going to risk running her off so soon. "Okay." He said simply, accepting the answer and choosing not to pry. He glanced off at either side of the bridge, keeping his hand on her gently in case she chose to pull away. He became very interested in anything that didn't involve looking at her face.

Robin enjoyed the touch of him as they walked. She felt much better, her body steadying and her steps picking up to a normal pace. She was walking with him and Buck over the bridge. "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I haven't experienced human touch in years." She muttered, hating to admit it. She hated she actually wanted tobe near someone but tried to shove those thoughts away and just enjoy the touch.
