Ella stuffed her sketch stuff away inside the draw in the desk, taking her time to sort them out as she always had done, listening to Sage speak. "Oh really? Who?" she asked absentmindedly, closing the draw slowly after she had finally sorted everything out to the way she liked it. She gave a smile of acknowledgment at his answer to her question, only giving a slight glance in his direction as she stood up, brushing slight dust off her arms. "Good" she said politely, disappearing into the bathroom to grab her brush, before sliding back out into the room, shivering in the slight cold. "I forgot to ask, whenever I have to address the public or..whatever I have to do, can I bring you? Or are you not meant to come?" she asked, her question completely unrelated to any other topics they had landed on.

Sage grunted slightly, a faint smile growing on his face. "A daughter," he hummed. "The wife took off...not sure why, but it was an arranged marriage and she despised me for whatever reason," he admitted. "But she left Lizzie....which is why I'm still trying to hang on here, I suppose. Send some money her way. Dad takes decent enough care of her as long as I give him money." He shrugged at her later comment though. "You're the queen. You decide. "

Ella raised her eyebrows at Sages answer, fiddling with her hair as usual. "Oh I didn't know you had a..daughter" she said slowly, relaying his words over and over in her head. That was most definitely not something she expected him to say. "Well if you need help, say." she spoke, her tone slightly blunt. She stood herself up off the chair, sighing at his reply to her second comment. "Helpful Sage, thanks" She said, letting a small smile break onto her face before she disappeared back into the bathroom to find some other stuff.

Sage shrugged slightly at her comment about the little girl, a slight flush creeping onto his face. "It wasn't really planned," he admitted. "I doubt she's even actually my blood...but I do love her like she's my own," he hummed. He hadn't seen her since he'd been here....and he missed her desperatly. But she was being cared for where she was....and he hadn't wanted to bring her here, due to the not so great lifestyle he had. He let out a small chuckle at her comment though, and would've responded if she hadn't left again. Oh well, that was alright. His mind was on lizzie now, and he stared out the window towards the village with a sigh, hoping his little one was still alright.

Ella hasn't heard Sage speak again seeing as she had disappeared quite fast, and so she didn't say another word to him for a while. Instead, she sat in the bathroom brushing her hair out, so much until it was rather wavy, before setting the brush down and quietly walking back out, settling back in the chair she was already in. It took her a little while before she was able to speak, though. "If i go to this..dinner tomorrow night. Would you come?" she asked, her voice quiet.

Sage wasn't sure how long it had been before she spoke again...he hadn't noticed anything much after his brain started turning. When she spoke though, he was torn from his thoughts and glanced over at her, admittedly rather surprised that she'd even consider wanting him to come along with her. He was glad she did, though, so he nodded slowly after a moment of shocked silence. "If you want me to," he agreed.

"I do, it'll be better having someone that's not a boring adult walking round with me " Ella said, slightly surprised by Sages answer. She had fully expected him to say no, what with him pretty much sitting in his corner all day, and the fact he didn't seem like he wanted to be there whatsoever. "Plus, at least you won't be sat here for ages while i'm gone." She added, thinking out loud more than anything. - sorry it's abit short, slightly busy))

(no worries, I'm not too worried about the length haha) Sage chuckled slightly in response to her comment. It caught him a little bit off guard...he wasn't sure of the last time he'd laughed. Or...rather....laughed at something that was actually a normal thing to laugh about. "Adults are the worst sometimes," he huffed in agreement. He sort of shrugged after that in response to her next comments, humming in thought. "I suppose so," he mused.

no me neither, i just don't like leaving the replies too short, especially when ik i have more to write im just busy)) - Ella gave a slightly excited smile as Sage spoke, throwing her hair back behind her shoulders. "They are. I'm glad you're coming with me" she said with a slight shrug, standing up to look at the time. It was still late evening rather than night, and she was nowhere near tired. But, she had absolutely nothing to do other than sit there and speak to Sage. "Did you ever used to leave the room, if you were allowed, and do other..activities?" she asked thoughtfully.

(that's fair lol.) Sage couldn't help but grin at the fact that they were joking around about how adults weren't the best people out there. He felt a light blush settle on his cheeks when she said she was glad he's come with, and sounded like she'd meant it. It meant more to him than he could probably ever express. He shook his head with a thoughtful hum in response to her last comment though, shrugging slightly. "if I did, I'd likely come back with a few too many bruises or cuts for my liking," he admitted. 'but I was never really allowed out unless I was on an errand," he added.
