Kennedy waited a bit anxiously for Caden and the cheif to finish up their talk, once he walked out she relaxed slightly at his words. "Oh it's fine, you don't have to apologize for that" She said while slowly standing up and grabbing her things. "So far I like it here... Maybe I'll grow to love being here someday" Kennedy said while bringing her gaze up to Caden to see if he was ready to go "I swear they really do" She said chuckling with him

Caden smirks and nods before saying " ready to go " then started to think about were to take her before saying " were would you like to go to eat " as he knew couple eating places but not much of then expected a in and out burger shop that was good to him and to other cops. Caden watches other cops leave for lunch and said " it must be a day that not a lot of cases come in " as he looks around before Matt said " yeah the one you are working on and two others came in but not much so we do paper work for others "

Kennedy nodded with a small smile "Yep all ready" She said to Caden while she closed up the files and started to put them away so no one would look at them. Kennedy shurgged her shoulders at his next question "I don't know... I'm not familiar with the area and what's good to eat around here yet so I guess just suprise me" She said while finishing up with the files and brought her gaze over to Caden "It's good there's not a lot of cases that means less crime but at the same time it makes work boring" Kennedy mused before looking over at the nosey man from before "Man you really like to butt in on peoples conversations don't you" She half sneered with a sour look on her face

Caden said " well I gladly show you around town when we have the time if you like " as he looks at her then at Matt and said Matt don't you have some place to go "Matt groans and said " man I sorry woman but Caden been my partner for a long time since he started here then left to be on his own " as Matt got up and grabs his keys before saying " if you want to make friends here be nice " then added " see you late caden " caden nods and said " ignore him he gets personal about somethings " as he looks at her before saying " okay on to something else " then added " how is the house searching go or do you already have one"

Kennedy was a bit surprised by Cadens offer but she was happy that he did offer that "That would be great! Thank you for the offer" She said glancing over at him then over at Matt who groaned. Kennedy listened to Matt then rolled her eyes at his last comment "I don't need to be nice to anyone..." She grumbled quietly to herself before her attention went back to Caden "I see that..." Kennedy said a bit of a sour tone before nodding her head in agreeance to change the subject. "Oh it's uh.... I'm still searching but everything up here is either expensive or if it's in my budget range the place is just filthy and not the most ideal place to live" She said with a small sigh

Caden smiles and said " don't worry you will find something and if you need a place to say I have a guest bedroom you could use but I don't want you to be uncomfortable on your first day "as he looks away and walks away from his chair before saying " let's get going to get something to eat we can talk on the way " as he smiles before looking around and sighed then looks at her and said " I wonder how long it would take us to solve a case like this I know it is not almost like my mother's case but it is close to it "

Kennedy once again was surprised by Cadens next offer, it was a nice one she had to admit but she had just met the man so she felt a bit weird to accept it. At the same time though living at a motel was starting to get expensive "I might take you up on that offer after awhile" She said before nodding at his next comment and started to follow Caden "Hopefully not long so that her family can get some closer.. but with how long it's taking to get a warrant and with barely any evidence it might take awhile" Kennedy said with a small sigh not liking the reality of how long it might take

Caden nods and then said " yeah I understand that even the waiting for the Warrenton is boring but I guess it helps to get other things done while you wait " before looking around and opens the door for her again and said " I already know a place to eat and you might like it " as he wasn't going to take her to a fast food more to like a restaurant but it has a bar and a dance hall to dance with live music play 24/7 a week Caden close the door and walks over to the car before unlocking it and getting in as he started jt up

Kennedy snorted slightly "I guess it does..." She said with a small annoyed tone seriously still annoyed with how long it was taking. Kennedy tipped her head as a thanks to Caden for holding the door open for her "Well then let's go before lunch is over with" She beamed with a smile as she walked over to the car with him. Kennedy waited for caden to unlock the car before hopping in and closing the door

Caden backs out and drives off to the restaurant and said " you know you might bring light to the NYPD " as he looks at her and smiles before saying " everyone is much happier since your started then when I did " as he remembered back then and smirks at that before keeping his eye on the road and said " if you want house do go cheaper if you look more towards the hills " as he knew since his house he bought was cheaper then in towns ones
