I only speak Spanish and English, I do not know what that language is
Xander watched curiously as she tended to his wrist, Where'd she find all of that stuff? Every hospital I've tried to gather resources from was tampered with or...useless, He sighed. The sight of alcohol defiantly caught him off guard and the pain that it struck, Wincing, Xander slightly jerked his arm away, just to return it to its past position as the pain slowly died down. Reluctantly following what directions she had given him, he leaned over and took his shoe off. Ibuprofen, I haven't seen medicine like this in weeks. The stocks are so low- how did she even find these? Not wanting to question her, he took the ibuprofen and set the water bottle down. "What's your name?" He finally asked after hesitating.

She glanced up and flashed him a quick smile. "Andromeda. I prefer to be called Mercy. How about you?" She glanced at her bandage roll and frowned, it was getting low. She took extreme care never to hurt herself, so she often had way too many medical supplies. She wrapped his ankle in the bandage, from the top of his abkle over his heel, before she tied it off, leaving a sad little roll of bandage. She shoved it in her bag and grabbed his shoe, slipping it back on his foot without asking. She laced it and shook her hair out of her face, packing everything away.

"Andromeda?" He hadn't heard of that name before, "You quite oppositely live up to your name." He commented. "Xander, yet I am mostly called Xan, You can call me whatever you want though. I don't care." He looked down at her, looking somewhat annoyed at her next actions. "I can do that myself thank you very much." Xander huffed, hinting annoyance in his town. He was getting up to his feet to regain his balance..before taking a step forward onto some of the debris that lay in front of him, which was a wrong step that caused him to lose his balance and go crashing down to the ground. "I tripped." He remarked quickly, glaring at her as he got back up as if he expected her to laugh. Edited at May 28, 2023 10:05 PM by Wistera

"Do I?" She tilted her head at him. Oh, the possibilities to be a nuisance. "Sorry?" She blinked at him. He was being quite rude to someone who literally just dug him out of debris. She grabbed her satchel and stood up, brushing herself off. She watched him fall. She probably could have grabbed his hamd or something so he wouldn't fall but... watching him fall onto his face was too entertaining to miss, especially when he was trying to be all snappy and independent. "Yes, I noticed that." She said, rather coldly. "Anyway, where are you off to?"

"I was heading North, doing as much as possible to keep going before those zombies catch up to me." He said, silently hoping they were going different ways. Thinking of zombies, reminded him that his gun was still nowhere to be found...looking over at the debris, he turned away, scooping some of it away close to the spot Mercy had found him. So Im going to have to use a knife to kill them? Great. I hate melee. "Thanks anyways." He said, sort of meaning it. Xan HATED thanking people, as he was stubborn and preferred to do things alone. It was just how he was.

"Oh, thats great! I am too." She grinned at him and hopped down from the debris pile. She couldn't put into words how much she hated being alone. She didn't know it was an option to NOT be a team after they had found each other. I mean, what else would they do? "Yeah, any time. We should probably get going now if we want to make it to the forest before sunset, but we have time to look for your gun, if you like." She smiled at him brightly, noticing his lack of enthusiasm and choosing to ignore it.

Shit... really? That's what he wanted to say, "How inconvenient." He said, sighing. We? he gave her a confused look, but then realized what she meant and turned away, starting to start towards north. "No, I can handle defending myself without a gun too," Xander said, looking at her. She was right though, they needed to go, now, which was why he denied the offer to search for his gun....and because he didn't want it to seem like he couldn't defend himself without a gun. Focusing ahead of him, Xander shuffled through the debris and started north.

"Inconvenient?" She bristled. This dude is such an ass. She walked side by side with him. If she wasnt scared that he was the only other human she would encounter for the rest of her life, she would've ditched him. But, that wasn't the case. She threw him dirty looks every few minutes as they walked in silence. Mainly she was thinking of insults- until she really couldn't help but blurt it out. "Am I really fucking inconveniencing you right now?" It came much more snappily than she meant it to, but oh well.
