Charlie heard the boy scream and grabbed Chases halter, then ran out to see what was going on. She saw a boy in name brand riding clothes, with blood dripping from his hand, and her sister standing there holding Wish. "He tried to pet Wish?" She asked Taytum. She rolled her eyes at the boy. "Stupid city kids" she muttered under her breath

Taytum sighed in relief when she saw her sister.

"Actually, I warned him and he ignored me," Taytum commented. "Apparently he's new here."

Wish struck the ground with her hoof, getting anxious and impatient.

"I need to get her into the barn and he needs some gauze or something to wrap his hand in," Taytum said, pointing at the boy.

Charlie sighed. She looked to the boy, "come with me."

she started walking to the barn. "Tay, I'll get Chase once I'm done with this kid" she gestured to the boy

"Thanks," Taytum said, sweeping her hair out of her face. Then she led Wish into the barn and put her in the crossties. She clipped the ties to the sides of Wish's halter and then started to groom her.

"Hey," a voice piped up behind her. It was Darius, the barn hand that Wish liked. He had been through a ton of training sessions with Taytum and Wish so that he could just lead Wish. Wish trusted him, to a point, but she was still cautious.

"Hey Darius!" Taytum brightened up, she loved talking to him, he always though positively and was supportive.

"What's up?" Darius asked.

"Not much, I'm going on a trail ride this morning," she replied.

"Need someone to come with you?" He asked, smiling and brushing his black hair from his face.

"Actually, I'm going with my sister," she told him, "but me and you could always go to get ice cream later."

Darius took and apple from his pocket and carefully held it out to Wish, she took it and gobbled it from his hand. Then she licked his hand afterwards, getting all the juices. He and Taytum laughed.

"Sure! that would be fun," he responded. "I gotta go finish my jobs though," with that he headed back towards the stalls. Taytum couldn't believe she'd actually asked him to do something outside of riding. She hung out with him at the barn all the time, especially so Wish could get used to someone besides Taytum and Charlie. He didn't have a horse of his own, but he rode the lesson horses at the barn. Taytum snapped out of her thoughts and tacked Wish up, making sure all her tack was in place and the girth was tight before taking her halter off on bridling her. Then she led her out of the barn to wait for Charlie at the Trailhead.

Charlie finished wrapping the stupid boys hand. "There" she didn't wait for a response before she walked away. She went to Apples stall and grabbed her halter. She was gonna take Apple, cause Brennan would be at the stable later and they where gonna go for a ride. She went and caught Apple, and led her to the barn. She put the mare in the crossties and went to the tack room to get Apple's tack. She carried the Saddle, saddle pad, bridle, sport/bell boots, and breast collar(it matches the saddle and bridle)to the crossties and set them on the saddle rack there. She groomed Apple, then set the saddle pad in place on her back. She grabbed the saddle and swung it up onto the mares back. Charlie cinched up, then did the breast collar. After that, she put the sport/bell boots on Apple. She unhooked the crossties and took Apples halter off. The mare put her head down so Charlie could bridle her. Charlie slipped the bridle on the mare. She hung the halter up and put her brushes outside Apple's stall. She then led the mare to the trailhead and mounted up. "Ready?" She asked Taytum

"I'm ready," Taytum responded, putting her helmet on and clipping it tightly. She slipped her black gloves on and mounted Wish. She let her hips follow her horses movement as they stepped into the trail. She kept Wish at a slow pace to match Apple's.

"So, I'm guess you were up late talking to Brennan again," she teased her sister.

She asked Apple to walk. They started down trail. "Yeah, why where you up late?" She asked, teasing her
