Sage grunted and nodded taking her hand and hauling himself to his feet. "I don't really know how well doctor equipment is going to work on me though," he pointed out. "I'm not exactly...human." Sage shrugged. "If Death takes the collar off he can't put it back on himself, so he'll have to get someone else to take it off. Someone he would trust. I don't know there's anyone he'd trust that much. We should still move though, once you're all healed up " |

Maxine sighed and nodded "Right... I forgot..." She said gently "Let's get you back to my place then and I'll do what I can to patch you up..." She said gently "I can't guarantee I'm gonna do real well with only one eye but I can try before I go to the hospital..." She said gently. Once they got home she took him upstairs to her room, it was full of books and painting supplies as well as other knicknacks and piles of sketchbooks. After sitting him on her bed she went into her bathroom and got a first aid kit grabbing a rag for the two of them to clean themselves up with "Here..." She said handing him his own damp rag "Take this and clean up what you can..." She said gently before she sat beside him and started working on cleaning up her own wounds. |

Sage shrugged and wiped what he could off, which was pretty much his arms and face, before the cloth was too dirty to do much. "You know, the easy way would be to just let me die. I stab myself or something, and then I'll regenerate and everything will go back to normal," he muttered. He knew she probably wouldn't let him, but it was worth saying. |

"So it wouldn't kill you?" She asked curiously looking at him "You'd just come back again...?" She asked as she dabbed at her own wounds "How long would you be gone for...?" She asked looking over at him. |

He thought about it for a minute. "I don't actually know. I'm dead. But from what I've gotten, no more than a few minutes " he shrugged. "Fancy healing properties or whatever shit the teachers in hell said. He shrugged and grinned sheepishly. "I didn't really pay attention to them." |

"Oh... I see..." She said gently "I mean if that's what you want to do... I guess do it just... Don't make a mess..." She said clearly unsure what she should say as she was still trying desperately to process everything "I'm gonna go to the hospital and get taken care of..." She said gently "You can stay here until I get back." She assured him gently. |

He nodded. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. You go...do whatever you need to do." He tapped the collar with a finger. "If you need help I'll know." He wondered what their relationship would be like now that she owned him like she would own a dog or cat. He thought back to that little moment in the room and wondered if he could dare hope she would like him like that. |

Maxine gave a small chuckle "Odd enough... That makes me feel better... Of all the things I have to process from tonight... That is something that brings me some comfort..." She admitted "Especially when I'm hurt like this..." She chuckled mildly "I'll be back whenever they release me..." She told him "There's stuff in the fridge if you want anything to eat or drink..." She said setting the rag aside heading back downstairs and out of the house. She felt bad but she needed help that he couldn't give her... Not to mention all the things she needed to process especially after that moment the two of them shared in that little store room. (You can skip to the morning if you like) |

(alrighty) Sage sighed and watched her go. He knew he would have to tell her that he still needed to consume human souls, but he figured that could wait. He could eat human food for a while and be alright, especially if he hunted one night. He was suddenly very tired, so he picked up his dagger and sent it through his chest in a way that wouldn't make a huge mess. He slid down onto the hard floor of the bathroom and then everything went black. He woke up a few minutes later, most of his harmful injuries healed. They left scars, like usual, but he could deal with that. He staggered over to the bed and flopped down onto it, falling asleep almost immediately |

Maxine finally had returned early in the morning, she gave a small smile when she saw Sage up on the bed using one of her blankets to cover him before she went and showered... Again. She'd been cleaned up at the hospital but she still felt disgusting so despite the doctors andvising against it she showered. Now she was in the bathroom in a pair of shorts and a T-shirt re-dressing her injuries... On top of the cuts and damage to her wrists she had an enormous bruise on her stomach... Stitches on her head above her right eyebrow and some broken ribs but otherwise she was okay overall... But she was still processing everything... By the time she was finished she had no desire to go to sleep... So she went downstairs into that small room she hadn't said anything about and decided to listen to some music and paint despite just having had a shower. |
