"go rest" she said softly
| |
| |

Caden nodded, heading to go take a cold shower.
| |
| |

She watched him, waiting before he left to sigh and head to the room. She stared at herself in the mirror, spiraling once more
| |
| |

Caden walked out, skin chilled from the water. "I know that look," He murmured, walking up and wrapping his arms around her form behind.
| |
| |

"what look?" She breathed, eyes vacant as she placed her hands gently on his arms
| |
| |

"You're thinking you're not enough, or something bad like that." He breathed, pecking her cheek.
| |
| |

"Mind reader" She accused nearly silently
| |
| |

"Maybe so," He murmured, glancing at the mirror and seeing his own insecurities.
| |
| |

| |

"Love you too," He murmured quietly, noting the way his sleeve on his left arm was had faded slightly after years of having it, the way his eyes were too bright against his skin, how unusually tall he was----and noting all the stares he usually got----God he was ugly.
