Mari chuckled softly to him and shrugged quietly. "I dunno... try it and see what happens," she told him with a bit of a laugh. She was comfortable... and she wouldn't mind messing about for a little bit. They had their little den in the house so they were more than safe here. Her head was resting on his shoulder still, and was kind of tracing the scars with her hand... she was just super comfortable here. The girl smiled gently to him before shrugging. "I suppose so," she hummed to him lightly.

Sage chuckled slightly and hummed as if in pretend thought. "Was that a dare I just heard," he teased her gently. "I think you're just waiting for me to start something so you don't have to," he giggled, a rather mischievous grin spreading across his face. He chuckled again at her other comment, and watched her hand move across his chest for a moment before pressing a light kiss to the girl's forehead and snuggling up a bit more. He'd have to think of something to make up a flirt....right now, they were sort of just laying around. There wasn't much to tease about.

Mari tilted her head a little bit at him before smiling happily to him. "Maybe... perhaps... yes," she chuckled to him. She knew not much was going on... but if he wanted to initiate anything, she wouldn't mind. It was his birthday after all, and she was happy to do anything. "I'm yet to see you start anything," she teased him lightly. It was amusing... they were just curling up right then. She smiled when he pecked her forehead, and her hand rested on his chest after a moment or two, her thumb softly running back and fourth where she was resting. "Maybe you should try," she mused lightly.

Sage hummed lightly and then snorted at her comment and rolled his eyes. "I'm going to take that as a yes," he giggled, a bit of a pure in his voice. Then he pouted slightly, though his eyes still glittered. "I initiate most times," he whined with a slight huff, though he was, of course, not upset in the least. He huffed out another breath when she said he should try, and slid down so he could stick his face closer to hers, though not far down enough so that her hand fell off his chest...he wanted that to stay. He gave her a goofy and admittedly rather mischievous grin before purring "that one was definitely a yes," at the girl happily.

Mari groaned at him before shaking her head. "Noo you don't," she complained to him with a bit of a chuckle. Of course, it didn't matter who did what, she just enjoyed being around him. He was everything she needed and wanted, so she didn't really have a need for anything else. It was just a plus, she supposed. She couldn't help her stupid looking grin when the boy slid down to face her, and she took a moment to shift so that her hand was a little higher up on his chest, and to get a bit more comfortable where they were. "It absolutely was a yes," she giggled lightly to him.

Sage snorted slightly and nodded. "Yes I do," he protested. "How often have you decided to come up and flirt out of nowhere," he huffed, sort of challenging the girl a bit, raising an eyebrow slightly, though he really was just playing around with her. He didn't care if he had to start it all the time, unless he started getting worried she wouldn't want it, but that was very, very rare. He let out a rather excited giggle when she agreed it was a yes, a pressed a kiss to her lips, a happy rumble growing in his throat. "And I'm definitely encouraging it this time," he hummed lightly before curling up closer to her and pressing another kiss to her lips happily.

Mari raised a brow at him after a moment or two, then rolled her eyes with a rather amused laugh. "Quite frequently, Sage!" She retorted with a chuckle. She then snickered to him lightly. "All the time. Most times. When was the last time you'd done it, hm?" She then teased lightly. She knew she was the one that put the lesser amount of work in between the two of them... but when she wanted to that seemed to completely change. She couldn't help her childish snicker after a moment or two when he kissed her. "Awh," she complained at his second comment, but moved to press a few light kisses to his lips. "Do I have to? It's meant to be your job!" She retorted with a chuckle.

Sage chuckled lightly, then snorted and rolled his eyes at her comment. "You do not," he protested lightly, though he really didn't care. If this all got him some love, he definitely wouldn't care. It was an amusing thought, really...at least it was to him. Then he gave the girl a look and grinned over at her, humming when she kissed him the few times and then answered her question. "I'm doing it right now," he pointed out with a chuckle, tugging her a bit closer to him and kissing her again before pulling back slightly to grin over at her. "Give and take, Mari, give and take," he teased her lightly. Really, they both did what worked best for the two of them ..and it usually ended up with Mari on top. But if she wanted a switch, he really didn't mind it. Even so, he did plenty wherever he was placed, and she knew that. Which was why they could tease about it, he supposed.

Mari scrunched her face up at him after a moment, then went to peck his nose playfully. "I do so!" She challenged lightly, a giggled escaping her when she was tugged in a little closer... she really was happy. She enjoyed her time with the boy, and she was thankful to have some of that time alone... Silas was her entire world, and she loved that child so much... and she did feel a bit guilty for leaving him with the doctor right after they'd gotten back from their honey moon, but it was Sages birthday... and they'd both agreed that was what they wanted to do that night. She huffed a breath at him after a moment. "I did it the whole honeymoon!" She yelped to him with a laugh, grinning at his kiss. She moved her hand to the back of his neck and pressed a slightly deeper kiss to his lips. "Yeah, Sage, give and take," she teased with another snicker.

Sage snorted at her comment, though was rather preoccupied by her kisses to respond. He gasped in a mock offense at her next comment though, before chuckling and grinning over at her again. "No, you teased me and then I grabbed you," he snickered lightly. He didn't mind of course...in fact he quite liked it when she did that sort of thing...but that meant he could tease all the more, and they would both know he was perfectly fine with it all. He huffed lightly at her next comment, but her kiss had pretty much made any and all thought leave his head. Well, besides the one that she was both amazing and beautiful, and he was so thankful to be curled up with her like this.
