Adele opened her eyes, and as soon as she remembered what day it was, her stomach filled with butterflies. She gave Caelan a nervous smile and sat up, beginning to brush her long brown hair.

Adele nodded, still silent. Soon, her maid came in and did her hair and helped her get into a newly made dress for just this occasion. It was dark turquoise, off-the-shoulder, gold-embroidererd, with long, trailing sleeves and skirt. Parts of her hair were braided and pulled into a flowery bun, and the rest was left down, waves defined. She felt out of place in such fancy clothes, but knew it was the best way to keep up appearances. She gave a sigh and turned to Caelan, holding her arms out to her sides. "Well? How do I look?"

Caelan's eyes sparkled and his breath was non existent. "Baby, you look....beautiful. I can't explain it. I have no words, you're so gorgeous, my love" He said, kissing her

Adele's heart swelled and she smiled, a little shy and self-conscious. She kissed him back and followed her maid out of the room, who was leading her down to the room she would wait in to go onto the bacony and be crowned.

Adele's tried to act completely calm and normal as she was waiting to come out, but it was pointless. Her palms grew sweaty and she fidgeted in the comfy armchair she was perched on. She heard the priest giving his speech, and then the crowds raucous cheers after he finished. That was her cue. She gulped. Her maid placed a hand on her arm reassuringly, and Adele took a deep breath. She stepped through the door into the sunlight, trying not to look nervous. . The entire city was there, packed in the square below. She immediately spotted Caelan in the crowd, and she felt stronger with him being there. She stood in front of the priest, the cheers dying away. He made his blessing, and picked up a gold, leafy crown. He lifted it up, and nestled it into her hair. She turned to face the crowd as the priest announced, "I present to you, Queen Adelaide Navvara!" The people in the square below repeated her name joyously, and cheered longer and louder than before. . Adele looked down at them, her people, and couldn't help smiling. Her nervousness was gone, and she felt for the first time, like Caelan had said, that she might actually be a good queen.
