Sage sighed softly and moved to kneel down next to Remy, knowing he'd be even colder with wet clothes, but Remy was clearly still not ok. "I'm sorry you need so bad, love," he noted softly, wrapping his arms around him in a hug beat he could. "Do you need anything," he added gently.

|
Remy shook his head, just burying his face further into his tail. He doesn't love you. He doesn't need you. He doesn't want you. You're an anomaly. No one wants you. No one likes other guys. You're weird. You're gross. His mind continued feeding him self-hatred and just awful things.

Sage frowned slightly when Remy didn't respond, but figured he was just tired and not feeling great. Even so, a pang hit his chest. Maybe this wasn't meant to work out. He moved back out of the water And into the tent he'd set up, shivering already. He didn't sleep at all that night, which really didn't help anything, but even so he staggered out to check on Remy the next morning.

Remy was still curled up. He didn't sleep, instead he cried all night, just shaking silently under the water. When Sage came to find him, Remy was still crying curled up in his tail.

Sage sort of just....plopped down in the water next to Remy, admittedly dead on his feet by then. Er...on his ass? He didn't care. He had found his way to a bottle of whiskey, and popped the cork off, taking a long drink before letting it rest on his leg. "I can't help you if you don't tell me what's wrong," he noted dully after a moment

Remy just hid in his tail, shaking as he cried.

Sage sighed when Remy didn't respond, biting his lip and taking another swig of the bottle. Sobyes hurt him. Wonderful. Would he ever get this right? He glanced down at the bottle, face twisting as he lifted it to his lips again. Maybe this was to be his life. The bottle. The undignifying and horrible things that came with it. The ones he couldn't control

|
Remy just continued to cry.

Sage had emptied about half the bottle before his tongue loosened. "Y'know, a few months ago I figured I'd die alone in a basement," he noted, definitely drunk a little bit. "But you showed up and everything changed for the better. We found peace." He took another drink. "I don't want to leave you, Remy. Ever," he noted, drunk but not drunk enough he didn't know what he was saying.

Remy heard him, his crying calming. He looked up at the boy, eyes red from crying. He flicked his tail, hugging the boy and curling his tail around him aswell.
