Celeste Harlow - Celeste had stayed awake the entire time he had slept. "Hey, baby... how are you feeling?" she asked gently, rubbing his back.

Sage hummed softly in response to her comment, letting out a raspy chuckle. "Like death," he mused with a twinge of amusement in his voice. "Thats good though, means its working," he added, sort of just resting his head in her lap.

Celeste Harlow - Celeste giggled a little but just kept running her fingers through his hair lovingly. She wasn't looking forward to witnessing his death. She knew he'd come back, but she knew she'd still be a mess.

Sage knew what was comming, and he didn't especially mind it. He knew how it would all go, and he had to admit he was curious as to what it was like. He smiled up at Celeste, though it was rather weak by then, attempting to keep his breathing steady so as not to scare her as it slowly faded, along with the light in his eyes.

Celeste Harlow - Celeste watched sadly. She started silently crying, tears dripping down her cheeks as the light faded from his eyes. Even though Celeste knew he was coming back, she couldn't help but feel distressed and scared.

Once Sage died, he lay there like that for a few minutes before he took a sharp breath and shifted in her lap, blinking up at her as he came to his senses a bit more. "That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be," he chirped, moving to reach up and wipe off her cheeks, offering her a tired grin. "Really, I'm alright," he promised her softly.

Celeste Harlow - Celeste held Sage as he died feeling the warmth from his body slowly fade away. As soon as he woke, she wrapped her arms and legs around him, burying her face in his chest and just cried.
Sage let her cry, just holding her and doing what he could to be as comfort to her. He knew it was probably harder for her than him... And he did feel a little bad about that. "It's ok," he murmured softly to her. "I'm ok."
| |
Celeste Harlow - Celeste continued to cry, holding onto him tightly, refusing to let go. "I love you..." she murmured, her voice muffled against his chest. "I love you so much..."
Sage smiled at her, though she couldn't see it, doing his best to just hold her. Comfort her. "I love you too," he hummed. "And now he can love you forever," he added lightly. Then he wrinkled his nose. "But damn, I'm hungry," he admitted with a small laugh.
