Mari hummed gently to the boy before shaking her head. "Well, now you're married to someone higher up... and you don't have a job down there to worry about. So I'll see what we can do," she babbled happily. She wasn't exactly high when it came to the whole ranking system... well, that was a lie. Her mother had been fairly privileged when she met her father, the only reason she gave up that life was because of the man. So, she supposed she was kind of getting the best of everything... she still lived in the slums, but because she'd inherited her mothers and fathers ranking she was slightly better off than most down here. Well, for the time being. It had evened out a little bit. She would certainly be higher up than this tavern over, though...she knew that. She leaned in to peck his chin gently. "Yep, take me to him whenever we get back. I'll have my brother and his lot come along too," she giggled childishly. Really, the chances of that happening were low... but she would absolutely at least get Sage an apology if nothing else. And some money to make up for everything. In truth, that tavern had probably taken years off his life, and experiences too, which should have been good. Yet, they were filled with fear, and he deserved so much more than that. Those years he'd lost, they could have been spent with her, not some grimy old woman who basically lived to hurt people. She sighed quietly and went to wrap her arms around him, happy that he was finally somewhere... safes. She groaned and sat up, a bit of a nod on her face. "Yep, you were quite bad. I was just trying to to do my job and I'd have to take a moment to console myself after talking to you... and Sage, I work for the queen so not much gets to me," she teased him lightly. Her cheeks soon flushed up at his next comment, though, really not expecting that to come out of his mouth at all. "I don't know... I'd like to say you could be trying a bit harder...." she mocked him with a bit of a giggle.

Sage hummed lightly at the girl's comment and then snickered slightly, shaking his head in amusement. "Both you and Anthony? I almost feel bad for the man," he chuckled lightly. He of course didn't....he was mostly just teasing the girl, really, but both her and the older boy could be quite...convincing. As in scary. Really, really scary. Like...wet-your-pants kind of scary. Not to him so much now that he'd gotten to know them all, but if he were the tavern owner he'd throw some money their way and run. He chuckled lightly at her other comment, raising an eyebrow slightly. "Harder," he asked with a chuckle. "I think I've done more with you than I ever thought of doing with anyone else," he mused lightly, really still just joking around.

Mari wrinkled her nose at him before shaking her head. "Don't feel bad. We won't threaten him too much," she chuckled lightly to the boy before frowning quietly to the boy. "Or, I won't," she chuckled to him before shaking her head lightly to him. "I can't vouch for Anthony, though," she chuckled lightly to him. The boy was a bit intimidating... he wasn't just bulky, but he was a lot smarter than Mari could ever hope to be. Which did make him kind of scary, because he did like to use it against people. His threats were kind of... not threats, he'd just talk with complicated words until you caved in. It was a bit intimidating, though. "And he hurt you, if we don't do anything then he'll do it to other people too," she murmured quetly to the boy. She pouted at his next comment before chuckling to him. "Yes harder, you heard me," she chuckled to him lightly. "It's a good thing I don't particularly care what you've thought about doing with other people," she hummed lightly to him with a bit of a pout. She was just teasing, but she did find it a bit amusing.

Sage chuckled lightly and pecked the girl on the forehead. "Well, I can't say I care if you do," he admitted happily. He did feel so glad that she wanted to do something about it though....this was one of those things that made him realize whatever he and Anya had wasn't true love. Whenever he mentioned the tavern or his father, she'd just get upset because he wasn't happy all the time. She meant good, he knew, but Mari just seemed to care about more than just if he felt happy or not. She of course wanted him to be happy, but when he wasn't she knew what to do and would help him anyway she could. It was all just nice. He hummed in thought and then nodded. "I suppose you're right about that," he mused. No one should have to go through what he had....then again, most people of his rank didn't work at taverns either. Probably for good reason. But even so, helping people was a pretty good motivator for facing his fear of the man. And....some money towards the house wasn't exactly a bad thing. They did need furniture and all the rest, he supposed. He huffed out a breath at her last comments, though, and raised an eyebrow at her, leaning back against the wall. "Well, I don't see you working very hard to make me want to do that," he teased her lightly.

Mari smiled lightly to him before shaking her head. "Anthony and I will look after you," she chuckled happily. She knew it was just an amusing thought... but she did want to sort the tavern owner out. If anyone like Sage was there, she didn't want them suffering for as long as he had. They were choosing to work in the tavern, but it shouldn't be a scary place to be, and it was the tavern owners job to make sure everyone there was safe and comfortable. They shouldn't have scars everywhere the way Sage had, and they shouldn't be having night mares or panic attacks because of the place. She looked towards him with a bit of a soft smile. And a nod. "I think you deserve a little something from him, so you not?" She asked lightly. She pouted at his next comment with a bit of a huff, leaning in a bit more to peck his lips. "Well, neither are you! It takes two, babe," she huffed quietly to the boy, her arms sliding around his shoulders and sliding a little closer to him to press a soft kiss along the jaw then another to his lips. "I say we get out the baths first," she chuckled lightly to the boy. Of course, she wasn't upset at all... it was more amusing than anything.

Sage hummed lightly, and let out a chuckle at her comments. "I feel very safe," he mused lightly, really still joking around even if he was rather serious about it. "I suppose I could stand to make him do some pay back," he mused lightly. He chuckled lightly at her other comments, humming lightly and putting his hands on her hips when she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. The same old smile he always got formed on his face in response to her kisses, and hummed in agreement. "You gotta let me up first though," he giggled lightly, teasing the girl. But he was more than happy to have some fun before they left.

Mari grinned at his first comment, though couldn't help her slight snicker. She did think it was amusing... she, her brother and Sage storming into the tavern to have a go at the owner. She looked to Sage happily with a bit of a nod. "I think payback sounds perfect," she chuckled childishly. After a moment or two, she let out a heavy breath. "Ugh... must we?" She asked with a bit of a groan before getting comfortable on his lap. They would have to get up... but right now she was in a comfortable position. She had a bit of a blush across her face... she wasn't sure why. Maybe it was his hands on her hips, or the fact that she was, you know, sat oj him. She moved to gently ran her hands up and down his chest, as she pressed a slightly deeper kiss to his lips. Her hand stood trialed up to the small cluster of scars on the soft tot his neck as she leaned away from him. "Do you want to tell me how in earth you got these ones," she purred happily as she went to press a few lighter kisses to the spot, her hand resting softly on the side of his face. Of course, she knew the answer to that one. She had, admittedly, been a part of the cause of that one.

Sage hummed lightly when the girl complained about getting up. 'your idea not mine," he mused lightly, fingers tightening on her hips when she pressed her lips against his again and trailed her hands back up his chest. So the girl wanted to play around a bit. Well, that was more than fine with him. He hummed as if in pretend thought when she asked about the scars on his neck...she knew exactly how he'd gotten them, as did he. And this we're scars he was, admittedly, rather proud of. "That would be you," he mused lightly.

Mari gasped when he said it was her and shook her head rapidly. "Me?!" She yelped to him before shaking her head. "Please, Sage, I'd bever do that to you," she purred lightly as she went to press a few deeper kisses to his lips, gently nipping at the newer skin. She did think all of it was amusing, though, and when he started to crawl out of the tub she followed along closely behind. She dried off before handing him a towel, pressing light kisses along the rest of his neck, only really stopping to kiss his adams apple kind of just messing around, really. She took a step back as she waited for him, but not before pressing a light kiss back to his lips, her smile only growing brighter.

Sage chuckled lightly at the girl's comment, humming in a rather doubtful tone, really still playing around. "Oh, I don't know that you wouldn't," he mused. He hummed happily when she pressed deeper kisses to his lips, kissing the girl back with as much passion as she was showing him. He chuckled lightly as she stuck closely to get out of the tub to dry off, and let the girl play around with her kisses for a bit, though when she stepped back to let him try off, he huffed out a small breath of complaint. He dried off quickly before grinning over at the girl and sort of waiting to see where she wanted to go next as he tossed the towel to the side, eyes glittering.
