The doctors fixed Rose's tubes and gave Caden a blanket. "If he wants to sleep with you, he can. He just needs to be careful" A nurse said softly, her eyes flicking between the two of them. She turned and left, Rose stroking through Caden's hair |

Caden awoke to the sun staring at him through the blinds, his ice blue eyes squinting in defiance. He felt the blanket, looking down and seeing it before flicking his gaze to Rose. |

"Hey" She breathed. "The nurse said you can sleep up here with me" She said quietly |

Caden shook his head, declining the offer. "No, I would but I don't want to hurt you." |

"You won't" She insisted, patting the space beside her. "Please?" |

Caden climbed up beside her, his shoulder against hers. |
