Elara noted his silence, chuckling as you could very much tell he had just awoken. She made a plate of the meat, making sure Liz was still asleep so she could leave the fire untended for a moment. "Made breakfast," The woman explained, offering a plate to Sage.

Sage sort of blinked over at elara groggily and grunted out a sort of thanks as he took the plate and plopped down next to the fire to eat it. He was a bit slow this morning, but maybe that was just because it was rather grey and cloudy... It would likely rain later, he thought.

Elara had noted the stormy skies, already planning to make sure to drag in anything that couldn't get wet. She walked back in, seeing Liz was up and around. The girl said something incoherant, Elara just watching and trying to comprehend it as Liz walked out and plopped down next to Sage. Edited at October 19, 2025 11:18 AM by RFS Thoroughbreds

Sage had glanced over at Liz when she moved to plop over beside him, and he set his plate off to the side so she could crawl into his lap, humming a soft "hey baby girl," to her, wrapping an arm around her as she settled in and offering her small bits of meat from his plate.

Elara watched the two with a soft smile, heading back inside to go clean up. She put the knives away, made the bed again, sweeped a little. Though, she found herself thinking of Sage a time or two, clearing him from her mind. -Stop thinking like that, you two aren't even friends.- Varys walked in, the wolf settling by her feet as she sat. Once Liz had finished eating, he ate whatever was left on the plate before moving to get up and wander back into the cabin. Liz ran off to play with Varus, and sage moved to grab his brush and try to work through all the tables in his hair.

Elara watched as Liz went and bothered the life out of the wolf, tugging on his ears and whatnot. He looked over at her before settling back to how he was with a sigh. The woman chuckled, noting how unbothered and gentle he was with Liz.

Sage did keep an eye on his daughter, warning her with a quiet "gentle, Liz," as he drug the brush through his hair. He finished up after a few minutes, tossing the brush into its bucket and then putting his hair into a quick braid just to keep it out of his face.

Elara watched Varys, noticing how chill he was until Liz pulled too hard. He shot up, snarling as he went to bite the girl. The woman blocked Liz with her arm, Varys biting her instead. His teeth sunk into her flesh, Elara yelping slightly as she pushed the girl to Sage and away from the wolf. Varys let go quickly, trotting outside before running off. "Damn it," The woman muttered under her breath, standing to go adress the wound.

Sage had figured the wolf would react to Liz, so he'd moved to grab the girl when the wolf shot up. She was crying now, and he was admittedly a little panicked himself, though after a moment he sighed and comforted her, gently explain that was why she had to be gentle. He set her back down then, telling her to go apologize to the animal
