Ryker grumbled under his breath and covered his face with his hands. "I'm asleep. There's nothing you can do to wake me up." He dropped his hands and closed his eyes. He was PLANNING on getting up a couple minutes later- if he didn't fall asleep- when he got a small wake up call as Abby spoke and leaned down to kiss him. "Okay I'm awake, what do you need I am at your service." He mumbled jokingly with a small grin, kissing her back before sitting up and pushing her to the side. "We should go see the horses. Or walk. Or do something. Otherwise I'll never fully wake up."

Abby giggled "knew it! Let's walk. NO!" She jumped up "Trail Ride! We can put Shadows halter on and attach a lunge line so he can roam around while we ride! Yes yes yes!" Abby took off toward the barn. She was definitely not dress well enough but she had nothing else. Literally. Except her dress but that was DEFINITELY not riding apropriate. She pulled Sun and Shadow out, putting their halters on them. She put Suns lead rope on then tied it o the other side. "She should be fine" she whispered "won't you girl?" She clipped a lunge line to Shadows halter. "Just in case you decide to go nuts I'll still have you. " she turned to Ryker. "Can you give me a boost up? I'm going bareback"

Ryker stood, listening to her suggestions and nodding. "Trail ride sounds just dandy to me." He answered, walking towards the barn, then quickening his pace to a jog as Abby took off. He eventually made it there. "Aaafter this we might want to go shopping, much as it pains me to admit it, because riding in those shorts doesn't seem the best. But I will enjoy watching you go into a store dressed like that, because it'll be hilarious." He grinned jokingly, grabbing a cheap western bridle to throw on Serpant instead of a halter, since his lead rope was too thick to tie around. He then turned to Abby and cupped his hands over her knee, pushing her up onto the horse. After hopping on Serpant, with only a little struggling to make it all the way up- hey, the stallion wasn't short- Ryker started out towards the woods. "If holding Shadow gets to be too strenuous, I can take him for a while."

"Don't make fun of me! It's the only clothes I have! Unless, of course, you would rather me look like a beauty queen walking through a JCPenny wearing a prom dress. Just sayin" she said, trying to make a point. Abby put her hand on his shoulder and pushed off a tad when she got on. "Thank you" she said, gathering the rope and the lunge line. "We'll see. I think I can handle this little rascal " she said as she leaned down, poking the velvety muzzle that gretted her from below.

"I'm here to make fun of you." Ryker smirked, looking amused. "Buuut I prefer this to beauty queen you." He added with a slight snort, nodding in response to her thanks. He glanced at the foal with a small laugh as she spoke. "I think he looks mischevious. He's totally planning some big scheme." He chuckled, running a hand through his hair. Ryker was MOSTLY awake now... which was a good thing, considering he was riding.

Abby giggled, giving Sun a slight nudge. The mare moved like a charm. "Good thing she still remembers things. Especially since she hasn't been ridden in like a year. " Abby shook her head at the thought. Had it really been a year since she had last ridden her? "Wow..." she sighed and leaned over, hugging the mare

Ryker nodded- that was impressive. He stayed silent for a couple minutes, thinking, before deciding what to say. "Quick question- when do you want to have the wedding?" He hadn't known exactly how to ask that so he went with short and blunt. He had known someone that had the wedding literally DAYS after they got ingaged, which in his opinion would NOT be good, but then again he also knew someone that had the wedding 11 YEARS after they got engaged. That was not happening either.

Abby's face brightened. "Maybe nine months to a year? Just so we can plan and not feel rushed but also not put it off. We could always postpone it if we need too." She gave Suns withers a scratch and the mares head tilted. She bobbed her head. "Oh did I hit the good spot girl?" Shadow bounced along the trail with them, flicking Serpant with his little puff of a tail. Abby looked through the trees to spot a ray of sunshine shining through a patch of leaves. Abby smiled.

Ryker nodded- that sounded just fine to him. "Knowing you, you'll start planning today and still feel rushed a year later when the day comes." He teased with a smile, patting Serpant's neck as the seal brown stallion ambled along. Serpant nudged Shadow with his muzzle before flicking his one tail. Ryker watched the birds flit through the branches.. it was so peaceful out here.

Abby stood on a hill, watching a herd of wild horses graze upon the lush grass. Ten months ago, she was buying dresses and crying over a painting. Ten months ago, Ryker proposed. Abby smiled at the thought, turning to eye the trail that led her back home. She thought of all the training Shadow was getting and the races Sun was winning. Abby sat down, the weight of wedding planning tiring her. "Why is it so hard to plan a small wedding?" She asked into the wind. She wrapped her arms around herself, thankful for the sweater she had bought the day before
