Ajax didn't want to dismissively say *dont be* but his stubborn instincts also didn't like something looking pitiful for him. -we'll ditch the instincts and accept that someone cares- Ajax thought huffily, returning the hug a TINY LITTLE BIT instead of just sitting there. "Ok... I'll believe that... but if he comes again I a, not saying the thing I said back there it WAS stupid, so you will just have to poof. Or hide. Or leave. Or ditch the cabin. OR GO SWIMMING IN THE LAKE I DONT CARE the point is you can't be around while he is."

Mercy chuckled just a little at the end of his sentence, nodding and pressing a light kiss to his head. "Fine. I will do that, but I'll ONLY fo it for you. I'm not afraid of him. I refuse to be." She quipped softly, closing her eyes and laying her head on his shoulder.

"Ok, I do not care, do it for me then. You don't have to be afraid of him, even if I am. I know I know, the big teddy bear is actually scared of someone, but really... thank you." Ajax replied quietly, smiling just slightly. "We'd better get back inside, sleepy head. I still have to make food." he announced, walking towards the door and holding it open. After Mercy had entered he went in behind her, going to the small kitchen. "What easy meal are you feeling like? Emphasis on easy... I'm no cook." Ajax grinned

"Of course." Mercy said softly, flashing him a sweet smile and then walking into the house lightly. "Hey, I'm down to eat whatever you make as long as its semi-edible. Emphasis on edible." She teased, hopping up to sit on the kitchen counter and watch him easily.

Ajax started getting out things, then turned to huff at Mercy. "That's my work space! I can't pick you up every time I have to do something." He joked, turning to the other counter. "Juusssttt in case you were wondering, I was joking." He snorted. "I'll surprise you then." Ajax grinned evilly. "Why don't you go take a shower or something. Read a book. Do NOT leave the cabin because I'm afraid for your life, but do something! So I can cook, of course, without you seeing my incredible idea." He chuckled, shooing her away off the counter. "Go. Shoo. Bye. See you in half an hour. There's a bunch of great books on the shelves. Heck, I don't care, there paper in that cupboard and pencils over there. Draw something." Ajax snickered, turning back to start his creation.

"Awh, why not? I like being carried." Mercy teased, swinging her legs for added effect. "Oh, really? I never would have guessed that you, Ajax, of all people would be... joking." She quipped playfully, rolling her eyes at his next comment. "Oh god. I don't want to die twice Ajax, especially not from your cooking. Stab me before the salmonella takes me, alright?" She said sarcastically, huffing as she got shooed away. "Fine. But if you serve something weird I WILL be turning it down." She huffed, walking to the bathroom to take a shower.

"Oh don't worry, it isn't going to be THAT bad. I won't be stabbing anyone... except maybe Ryker... or Grady... or some of the many enemies I have... NEVERMIND I won't be stabbing YOU so thank you very much." Ajax snorted, running a hand through his black hair. After she left he got quickly to work, pulling out pans, turning on the stove, and grabbing stuff from shelves. He sprinkled seasoning, boiled water, sniffed whatever it was he made, wrinkled his nose, added a little more of this and a little more of that, then finished his concoction. "MERCY. I have completed my poison!" Ajax called, dishing it onto plates and putting it on the table. There was perfectly made spaghetti with venison as the meat and red sauce with no tomatoes already mixed in. "Try it. I garuntee it will be the best spaghetti you've ever tasted... really, I learned it from a friend. My single actually friend, but it is good." Ajax encouraged, taking a bite and closing his eyes with appreciation. "Still the best." He mumbled. "Spaghetti has always been my signature dish after that. It is the one thing I can actually make."

Mercy was quick with her shower, but she was still toweling her hair dry when he yelled. "I'm coming!" She called lightly, tossing her strawberry blonde hair into a braid and walking easily out to him. She gave the food a wary glance, but sat down in front of it anyway. "I dunno, this looks a lil suspicious." She teased, grabbing her fork and taking a careful bite. Her eyes widened with surprise and she looked down at the dish in slight shock. "I wasn't expecting it to be... good." She chuckled, taking another bite and nodding. "It is really great, Ajax. Thanks for cooking." She smiled.

Ajax watched Mercy carefully for a moment, pausing. How bad would it be. When her eyes widened and she spoke he relaxed and let out a sigh of relief. "Eh, I'm no cook but something about having to make your own meals since you were 6 means you are smart enough to make SOMETHING." He chuckled. "You're welcome.. I am really glad you like it." Ajax added quietly, finishing his meal. "If you want any more, it is in that pot. Help yourself, there's plenty." He announced, standing and placing his dish on the counter. Mercy chuckled at him and continued to eat in relative quiet. "I'd hope so." She chimed, smiling at him. "I really do like it. And thank you, it means a lot that you cooked for me." She nodded, continuing to eat until she was done. She stood and walked to the sink, grabbing his dishes and walking to the sink to wash them.
