I drove at like 14 between farms in a farm truck for a guy I worked for. But in NC it was we had to take a semester long driver's course with 8 hours driving. Then at 15 written test for learner's with required supervision and restrictions on number of passengers. Then hold that for at least 6 months with 60 hours of driving with an adult with 10 of those being at full darkness conditions. Then a driving test at 16 for license (though mine was a joke at the specific DMV I went to)

Lilith glanced up, and wiped her own eyes, trying to hide her tears. "I took your advice, and tried to talk to him. I gave him my phone, so he could look through it, to see if it would help. He said he wasn't comfortable in our relationship, and said we should break up." She explained. "And it's all on me. I'm just packing, so he doesn't have to deal with me anymore. I doubt he's okay, but I can't speak for him."
(I love this angst, but hate it at the same time--- lol)
