Travis nodded and took his phone back nodding in agreement "Very much so... And don't let anyone tell you that the terrible twos aren't a thing... Cause they most certainly are." He chuckled taking his phone back "Yes that's exactly what I mean." He laughed playfully before he hopped out of the tree and headed home calling a goodbye over his shoulder before he disappeared. Max was curled up on the couch but her brows were narrowed and she was whimpering... Her sketchbook dropped off her stomach landing with a thud on the floor beside her but that didn't stir her... It only made her eyes chlench shut more... When the door slammed as Sage walked in her eyes popped open and she got off the couch still in a sleepy haze she didn't recognize him at first... She lept at him and tackled him pushing her arm into his throat with a small growl rumbling in her throat "You're not touching my baby..." She growled out suddenly she blinked and recognized Sage "S-Sage?!" She yelped pulling away from him. |

Sage blinked and then grinned. "Well at least I know the house and Charlie is safe while I'm out," he giggled. He gave her a playful frown. "Where was that energy at training," he teased. Then he cocked his head. "But...are you alright?" Something had to be wrong...she didn't normally freak out like this. |

Maxine relaxed a bit more hearing his voice "Yeah no shit but I could have killed you!" She yelped lightly before giving a small chuckle "I was half awake okay?" She said glaring at him a little before giving a small sigh "I'm not trying to defend anyone or anything..." She said relaxing more "I'm okay... Just had a nightmare..." She admitted shuddering slightly. |

Sage nodded and sat up, wrapping her up in a hug and kissing the side of her head. "Come on, let's get you back to bed," he murmured. "I'm gonna shower and join you, alright?" He giggled. "Well then if you can do that half asleep you should be good to go wide awake!" |

Maxine nuzzled into him before looking up at him "Why don't I join you instead?" She suggested before chuckling lightly "I guess yeah..." She admitted "I don't know where that came from..." She chuckled "Pure instinct I guess...?" |

Sage chuckled and patted her on the shoulder. "Join me if you want," he chuckled. Then he gave her a smile. "Your mother bear came out, that's all. It's a good thing." |

Max chuckled softly "I suppose it was." She said following him, as they passed through their bedroom she checked on Charlie whilst Sage got the water started. Once it was warm enough she hopped in after him and started taking a rag to his bare form "How was your night?" She asked gently working her finger with the rag covering it over and around every muscle and detail in his skin just as she would if she were drawing. |

Sage nodded with a chuckle and let her rub him down willingly. He quite enjoyed it...her careful attention to detail, even the hungry way she looked at him. "It was pretty nice. I met someone who I think is a pretty good guy." |

"Really?" She asked reluctantly glancing away from his muscles to meet his eyes "I'm glad." She cooed happily planting a tender kiss on his stomach "You deserve some actual friends you can hang out and bitch about me with..." She teased. |

Sage giggled and nodded. "He's a newish dad too. I actually popped out of a tree and scared him at first," he laughed. "We got along well though." |
