Mari hummed gently to the boy before shaking her head. She knew he loved her, and she didn't have to ask to know that. It was just amusing all the same. She then pouted at him with a small chuckle. She looked into his eyes for a moment before grinning happily at him. "I don't know why you need to stare, though," she grinned at him before shuffling in a little bit more. She smiled happily to him. "You see me all the time hun," she told him with a bit of a laugh. She didn't mind at all... it was nice to have someone so infatuated with her, she could admit that.

Sage hummed lightly, cuddling in happily and looking up at her with a lazy grin if his face. "Because sometimes you seem too amazing to be there," he murmured before yawning. He wasn't sure why they were still so tired ...they'd slept pretty much all day....but he was ready for bed. He nuzzled up into the girl, resting his head happily in her chest and closing his eyes. "sometimes you seem like an angel," he babbled tiredly to the girl. Maybe she was...he'd certainly believe it if she admitted she was one. He'd slipped off to sleep moments after that, being tired enough to sleep quite well.

Mari smiled happily to him, unable to help the lightness of her face, even if she was so exhausted. She rested her head on his, a smile crossing her face once more. "I'm definitely here," she told him softly, her eyes light. God, she loved him... how could one person, so peculiar in certain ways be so, incredibly wonderful? How could she love them so much? And how on earth was it possible that out of all the people in the world, he'd chosen her to marry... to have a child with, to love the rest of his life out with? It just seemed so amazing. When he curled into her, she smiled happily and rested her hands in his hair, her chin on his head lightly. She looked to him quietly, kind of humming a tune before slowly drifting back off to sleep.

Sage dimly heard the girl humming a tune as he slipped off to sleep, which caused a soft smile to form on his face as he drifted off. He hadn't really been able to respond to her comment ...he was already mostly asleep, but he did find it a bit amusing. She was here....and he found it absolutely incredible. It was incredible that someone like that existed, and even more incredible that that someone would want him of all people. He had baggage that no one else she'd met would have, and she still wanted to love him, and raise his child, and live with him until they died. It really was just unbelievable, in all the best ways.

Mari slept for a long while... she was tired, so it made enough sense. They both were. She slept with him until early the next morning, and they'd been fine... she'd shifted to stick her nose in the side of his neck, so the warmth between them had risen a fair amount as they slept. As the sun shone through the windows, all she could do was imagine how... lucky she was. To have him. Sage. This wonderful man, who'd been through hell and back but could still put all that aside to be with her. He could look past everything other people had done to him, the torture and torment he'd endured since he was young, and he could live s semi normal life, with her. Or, well, they'd try to do that. He was so brave, so incredible, and she was so, so lucky to be able to call him her husband... her husband.

Sage slept past Mari in the morning, which was admittedly a bit of a surprise...she'd been more tired than him the day before, but then again he'd sort of just ignored the fact that he was tired and had just pampered the girl, he supposed. Whatever, he'd enjoyed doing it. He shifted slightly when he woke up, though not enough to move away from Mari at all. He nestled his chin on the top of her head lightly, her soft breaths on his collar soothing. They sort of tickled, too but not enough to make him do anything more than smile slightly. Other than that, he didn't move....he was really still half asleep. And, well, he was cozy here with Mari. And he didn't want to move away from her.

Mari stayed quiet for a while longer... he didn't need to wake up just yet. He'd stayed up a bit later than her, and done a bit more, too... plus, she enjoyed watching him rest. Seeing him relaxed and happy. She still felt like a treat to see him happy and bouncing about her, or when he'd settled down and always had that soft smile across her face, so faint but so real it hit her quare in the heart. She never wanted to see him looking otherwise. She couldn't keep him like this forever... but she could keep him happy for as long as she possibly could. She moved a tiny bit with a slight sigh before resting her head on the pillow next to him, her hand still in his hair from the night before, but was now gently moving about, running down to his cheek before cupping in and running her thumb softly around.

Sage slept for a while longer before shifting slightly and blinking his eyes open slightly to see Mari smiling softly at him and running her thumb over his cheek. He gave her a smile and hummed some sort of a good morning that wasn't really awake yet and then closed his eyes again, settling back down and into the girl happily.

Mari kind of pulled away when he shifted, but her smile soon came back when he gave one back to her. She felt a little bit better, now... more awake. She supposed they had slept the whole day before and last night. Well, in that case they must have been exhusted... it was fine, though. Just amusing. She murmured something in response to him happily before cocking her head. "Don't tell me you're going to drift off again, Sage," she whispered with a bit of a laugh, though a still kinda sleepy one. It was sweet... she liked seeing him so docile and quiet. It was really quite cute.

Sage sort of hummed in response to Mari's comment, curling up into her a bit tighter before stilling with a soft huff of air. He'd wasn't falling back asleep....but he was definitely in that half asleep stage, where he was still and resting but very much awake of his surroundings. He was comfortable here....warm and happy, and he did like the feeling of Mari's thumb running along his cheek. It just all made him feel so loved ....and it was a nice feeling to have.
