Adele didn't look up when the door opened, but when she felt familiar, strong arms around her, she opened her red eyes. "Caelan? But- what are you doing here?" She asked, voice hoarse from crying.

"I needed my princess and it seems she needed me as well"

Adele nodded, then started crying again, though less strong now. "Caelan..." she said, voice scared. "They want to crown me the day after tomorrow! I can't-- It's--" She paused, trying to breathe. "I'm not ready for that!"

He pecked her lips and lifted her chin with his finger gently. "Babygirl, it's okay. If you need help, I'll always be here for you. I promise. I know you and I can swear to you, you are definitely ready. You like a challenge" He chuckled softly

Adele smiled tearfully, feeling better now. "But... Why did you come? I mean, why did you need me? Did something happen?" She sat up, worried now.
