Trixie backed down slightly as he continued on, shuffling a little uncomfortably. She sighed as she continued to listen, uncrossing her arms and licking her lips in thought. "...okay." She said quietly, taking a tentative step toward him. "I really do love you, Matt. And I want to spend however long we have together. I just... I would really like if you could maybe try to bear with me instead of snapping when I get frustrated. And I'm not saying I'm in the all clear; I shouldn't have snapped at you to begin with, and I'm at fault for more than that. But maybe we can... pretend this never happened and just be together?" She suggested tentatively, not entirely confident he wouldn't turn on her again.

As soon as the very word 'love' left Trixies mouth, Matts very harsh guard seemed to slip away, and he buried his forehead in his hand for a split second, before looking back up and settling his gaze onto her. "I love you too" he whispered, his shoulders dropping from the tense stance he had been in. It seemed to be if there was anything to get him out of the way he was acting, it was..that phrase. He nodded at the rest of her comments, still keeping his eyes fixated on hers. "It's fine. I can try" was all he managed to say, and after a couple more seconds he grabbed her hand gently, moving himself forward to plant a gentle kiss on her lips.

Kitty watched him quietly, her breathing kicking up signifigantly. She gently intertwined their fingers as he grabbed her hand, stepping into him as he pressed a kiss to her lips. She gently reached her other hand up to rest on the back of his head, pulling him closer and deepening the kiss slightly.

Matt pulled away rather quickly from the kiss, mainly because he wasn't prepared to let his eyes off the surroundings. They were sketchy enough as it is. He looked Trixie in the eye with a warm smile, cupping her face. "I'm sorry" he said quietly, his tone slightly sad as he actually came to the realisation of..everything really.

Trixie's eyes fluttered open as he pulled away and she returned the warm smile he gave her, leaning into his hand slightly. "It's alright. Where are we headed?" She asked quietly, gently trailing her thumb back and forth over his neck.

"I wouldn't know. As much as I know about this place, it's a lot different to what I was actually told. Just walk I guess" Matt shrugged, letting go of Trixie to take her hand instead, almost protectively as they moved off. He peered around at the bleak surroundings, his gaze flitting from the mossy brick walls of the houses to the cracked roads.

Trixie nodded, giving him a small smile. "Yeah, that sounds good I guess." She nodded, giving his hand a light squeeze when he grabbed it, dropping her other hand from his neck. She walked with him quietly, glancing around in slight interest, pressing into his side a little.

For the most part Matt stayed silent as they walked, observing the surroundings quite intensely. He was growing increasingly nervous for both of them, and he found it better to keep himself quiet instead of open song his mouth and snapping at Trixie. Though, after they seemed to reach a slight dead end, coming up to just an empty dusty area with a large gate stopping anyway walking any further, he turned to her giving a slight smile. "I doubt we'll find anything to do unless we actually interact" he said silently.

Trixie walked silently at his side, blindly following his lead since she couldn't possibly know better anyway. She gave his hand a gentle squeeze every now and then, taking in her surroundings and getting increasingly anxious. All she wanted was a room. Just a room, with a bed, where they could just... be. She blinked as he spoke to her, giving him a meek smile in turn. "Right, that's a good idea. What do you suggest we do?" She teased, gently running her thumb across the back of his hand.

"I have no idea. Search for a place to at least sit inside while we..wait" Matt said, his tone light and slightly tired. "Unless we just place ourselves behind a bush somewhere" he added with a playful smile, kicking up the dry dust as they walked. After a couple more minutes of walking they came to a very long, bleak looking road of acceptable sized houses. Well, houses was a stretch- shelters more like. He looked at Trixie with a smile, gesturing towards them. "We found somewhere" He shrugged, his eyes scanning the place.
