Ajax nodded, then turned his gaze to Mercy with a slightly sheepish smile. "Well.. I've always really appreciated nature. I could never bear to be in or around cities, and just absolute joy fills me when I'm in nature. It brings a feeling of peace... I always feel like I'm on top of the world and that nothing can hurt me when I'm surrounded by trees, the chirping of birds, the gurgling of a creek, the chattering of squirrels and chipmunks. It is all amazing... and to think that God made all of it is incredible. Just incredible." Ajax explained with a pleased expression. "Plus it provides you with amazing things like deer meat!" He chuckled.

Mercy tilted her head at him as he spoke, a little smile forming the more he went on. She laid down across the couch, her head across his legs as she looked up at him. "That is pretty cool, huh?" She nodded, glancing out the window again. After, she closed her eyes, letting out a small yawn. "Is it bad that I'm exhausted? I've done, like, nothing today." She muttered, opening her eyes to look at him.

Ajax nodded, his dark blue eyes gazing out the window once again, watching the trees shake back and forth in the breeze. He laughed when Mercy said she was exhausted. "Well, it isn't BAD. Granted I did just cut down a tree, which is backbreaking work, and I wouldn't say I'm EXHAUSTED." Ajax exclaimed dramatically, chuckling a little.

"Well, I am. And I'm allowed to be overdramatic." Mercy huffed sarcastically, closing her eyes and curling up slightly to get comfortable. "Ithink I'll take a nap right here, actually. Is that alright?" She asked teasingly, opening her eyes to look at him and then out the window.

"Riiight. Suuure. You, over-dramatic, never would have guessed." Ajax nodded slowly, chuckling. "Nap away. Not like you were going to let me move anyway." He snorted, leaning back to get comfortable since there was no way he was going to move. "I'm getting up when it is supper-time, though, you being asleep or not." Ajax warned with a grin, still not moving his right arm, letting it rest on the armrest.

"I know, I really don't look the part." Mercy quipped sarcastically, giving him a happy smile as he nodded. "Thank you." She smiled, rolling her eyes at him and then closing her eyes. "If you carry me, than I'll allow it." She teased, reaching up to intertwine their fingers.

"Huh, that's a new one." Ajax snorted sarcastically, raising an eyebrow as she said thanks. "Not like I can move..." He mumbled, closing his eyes for about half a millisecond before she spoke again. "Ok fine. If you are still asleep when I need to cook up something to eat, I will pick you up and carry you outside." Ajax nodded, looking like he agreed with the idea. "Sounds good. Have a nice nap." He closed his eyes, giving no sign of opening them again.

"Yes, well, that's the point. I get to inconvenience you and nap all at once, it's like a two for one." Mercy murmured sleepily, smiling as he accepted it. "Okay." She nodded, giving his hand a little squeeze before she opened her eyes. "...I'm cold." She huffed, standing and venturing off to find a blanket. She was back not long after, she hopped right back into the same position, using his lap as a pillow. She gently spread the blanket over herself before laying back down, curling up and closing her eyes. "Now I can nap." She nodded.

Ajax sighed a little at Mercy's first comment, shaking his head slightly and cracking his eyelid open to peer at her. "Already need something. That didn't take long." He muttered with a snort, closing his eyes again after she had settled back down. "Have a splendid nap." Ajax said with mock sweetness, not letting himself drift off but resting.

"Oh, I promise you, it will be the best sleep I've ever had in my life. Have a nice little rest yourself." Mercy teased, curling up a little more and settling down to sleep. It didn't take her very long, seeing as she was surprisingly comfortable where she was. It was only about five minutes before she had drifted off.
