"Get up, we're moving." I blinked, rubbing a hand down my face as I was dragged up, my arms getting thrown over two guard's shoulders, starting the trek over to a small room with a table illuminated by a candle, and a parchment with an empty pen in front of it. They sat me down, no instructions, just silence. Well i'll be damned, left me with a chance? Idiots. I looked around and saw there was no ink, dipping the pen into a deep and still bleeding gash on my forearm, starting the letter. Kayla, I am absolutely not fine, please worry. Watch my medics extra carefully, there's three, and one of them isn't loyal. People here, wherever 'here' even is, has the poison. You know, the one that makes you feel like you're burning? Yeah, they've used it on me more times than I can count. I don't know where I am, but they want the kingdom. They want you. Keep Malakai a bit closer than normal, and tell him his Dad misses him and loves him, just as I miss and love you as well. I'm still alive and fighting, and as i've always said, i'll either die a hero, or die fighting for my family. Yours, Gale

Kayla kept running through the streets and forest frantically, tears streaming. "Gale!" She screamed for the hundreth time, voice hoarse from yelling

(damnit I gotta steal names now) General Aetos walked down the hallway of Velora's castle, stressing about the sudden dissaperence of the king, and the overwhelming panic the kingdom was in. A messenger turned the corner, face red with exhaustion, sprinting to the General. "Hey slow down! You can-" "Get this to Queen Kayla! As soon as possible! It's from Gale. It's....it's from the king." He panted, the General's eyes going wide.

Aetos?!!! As in....Dain?) Kayla was instantly found bringing her horse in from the stable and given the note. She grew more and more furious the more she read until she was nearly trembling with fury. She turned to the nearest maid, the other woman shrinking under Kayla's gaze. "Get me the war council. Now. And the medics that have ever been in contact with my husband"

(at least it wasn't sorrengayle) I've been locked up for fifteen days. I don't know where I am. I don't even know what or who I am anymore. I'm empty. I keep hallucinating, thinking i'm seeing Sage or Rosé. I know they're both dead, yet they provide decent company. So does Varys, he's pretty warm and he's still rather clingy, not leaving my side the whole time i've been here. He dissapears sometimes, but other than that, he's there.

She would scare the shit outta me. Violet's mom, not Violence) Kayla called the meeting and eventually went to extremes trying to find the location of Gale. She didn't care about who she hurt in order to get the information, and she didn't care how she hurt them. She left the actual 'getting hands bloody' part to the guards who stood by her. "I will ask once more. Where. Is. Gale?" She said softly, ehr voice much too cheerful and lilting for the situation

"Your Majesty, I have not seen the King since two days before the council meeting, i've served him for all his reign, typically I know where he is, yet I do not." One medic answered, their voice worried yet strong. "I have not seen Gale in ages, i've been shipped off at South Camp tending to our soldiers, yet I still have no idea of his where abouts." The second answered, easily truthful. "Y-Your Majesty, I have not seen him in um, in a while. I can promise you, I-I don't know where he is." Said the last.

"Take these two away. Lock them up. I want eyes on them around the clock. No speaking, food, or water until either I or the king says otherwise. This one, though", she said, gesturng to the first medic, "Stays here. Continue and increase measures if needed. I will be back in a minute. Don't kill them yet" SHe ordered

The two medic's eyes widened as they were cuffed, jaws dropping as they just stared at Kayla, utter betrayal and confusement on their faces. The last medic stared up at Kayla, swallowing hard.

The guards made sure the medic felt immense pain while they tried to get information. Kayla hurried to get Malakai in her sights. Once she had him, she carried him with her and posted a guard with the little prince just out of sight of the torture rooms. She threatened the guard's life if the prince was harmed before returning to the task at hand. "Anything new?" She asked the guards
