Mari cocked her head at him with a bit of a smile, a pout crossing her face. "Something?" She asked with a cocked head. "Would that something be your child by any chance?" she joked lightly. In all fairness, they wouldn't have gotten serious if it weren't for Silas... they'd just been having fun before. Going out on the odd date and messing around whenever they'd gotten the chance. Then they started getting into things once they'd figured out why she was so ill. She chuckled lightly when he finally wrapped his arms around her, his grin just making her heartbeat in her chest and she moved to peck his nose once more.

Sage giggled lightly and shook his head. "Nope, I definitely didn't expect to get a child out of the deal," he laughed. Not that he was complaining, of course, but he'd just figured after everything he'd been through, it wouldn't have been possible to father a child. But he was certainly glad he had. "Silas came along way after that," he hummed in amusement, his grin only widening when Mari pecked his nose. Silas had certainly sped their relationship along a bit, and he really couldn't help but be glad for it. It was the push he'd needed to start thinking about the next steps...and the extra motivation to get the guts to propose and all the rest. But he figured they'd gotten a rather good deal with it all, and it really couldn't have gone any better. Well, Mari could have had an easier time with actually bringing Silas into the world, but they could fix that if she got pregnant again.

Mari nodded slowly to him before smiling softly, her hands gently running up and down his neck as she listened to him. "Oh, so it was an accident," she huffed to him, "We accidentally ripped our clothes off, jumped into bed and created a whole person," she mused lightly before rolling her eyes. It was just a tease, and he would know as much. "Ah, I see," she chuckled softly to him before rolling her eyes. "Well then, I can't imagine what you saw in me. Perhaps an annoyance that piqued your interest," she chuckled lightly to him. She didn't have a clue... but whatever it was, she was so, so glad he'd seen it. That he'd thought her good enough to do anything at all. That he thought her to be a suitable mother to not one, but maybe even two of his children... that he'd wanted to love her, to marry her, to spend his life with her... she was happy about all of it.

Sage chuckled lightly and shrugged. "Well the few minutes prior to that I wasn't expecting a baby to come out of it," he chuckled lightly. "But I can't say I didn't enjoy any of it, other than the fact that you almost bled out," he hummed in amusement. He offered the girl his usual crooked grin at her other comment and bibbed his head up and down in a nod. "Annoying you was pretty easy," he giggled. "That's what it was at first, a little bit," he admitted. "But that was because I knew you'd be nice enough not to turn around and knock me silly," he noted with a light chuckle. He certainly was glad for them both....he didn't think he'd ever understand why Mari loved him the way she did, or why she trusted someone who had killed so many people to raise up and protect the two of them. But he was glad she'd decided to love him...he'd certainly be nowhere good without her.

Mari hummed lightly to him before gently playing with his now rather soaked hair. "Well, we should have expected it. It wasn't like we put any effort into stopping it," she then added with a bit of a giggle, and went to peck his lips once more as she grinned down at him. "It hasn't been like we've been trying to stop anything, actually," she mused, shaking her head ever so slightly. It was amusing... they shouldn't have been surprised at all, really. It would have happened sooner or later. "I don't understand why you'd want to annoy the love of your life, though," she chuckled softly to him before shaking her head, her eyes light. "I should have... how did you put it? 'Knocked you silly'?"

Sage hummed lightly, more than happy to let the girl play with his hair. "Maybe not, but I certainly won't complain about it all happening," he chirped. He grinned up at the girl happily, and then chuckled at her later comments. "Me either, but it seemed like a good idea at the time," he admitted with a shake of his head. Maybe that had just been his teenage self being stupid. Not that he wasn't sometimes stupid now, either. But whatever. He hummed lightly and chuckled. "Your brother almost did that for you," he joked lightly. He'd gotten along better with Anthony, and the older boy would warm up to him eventually. At least, he hoped so. "Though I probably deserve a punch or two from you, too," he chuckled lightly.

Mari just chuckled at him, gently flicking the back of his head with her finger as a kind of retort. "You had better not, especially just after I married you," she chuckled softly. She then pouted at him curiously before shrugging. "I can't understand why, though," she complained with a childish-looking expression across her face. She then huffed in response to him. "My brother saves me from guys like you," she replied to him before shaking her head. "Though, normally he scares them off before they get as far as this," she snickered lightly. She hummed curiously to him before shrugging. "You probably do. But I have a feeling you wouldn't be too impressed if I did turn around and sucker punch you," she chuckled softly.

Sage gave the girl a grin, giggling slightly at her little flick. "I think I'll settle on just making you happy," he noted with amusement. "Neither can I, now," he admitted with a bit of a shrug. "And you're lucky I love you so much or he'd have scared me off too," he yelped with a laugh, shaking his head in amusement as he remembered how terrified of the older boy he was. "I had whole situations planned out in my head for if he decided to attack me," he chuckled. Then he hummed lightly and shook his head. "Probably not. At least, not in the way you meant," he chirped. To be completely honest, if she did punch him for something he'd be more impressed than anything.

Mari let her smile soften when he said he'd make her happy... well, she already was happy. Very happy. She couldn't be happier about any of it. "But you already make me happy," she babbled to him, pressing another light but drawn-out kiss to his lips. "I'm only happy when I'm with you," yes, yes, it was cheesy... she knew that. But oh well. She didn't care. She could be as cheesy as she wanted and she had a feeling he wouldn't care all too much. She then cocked her head at him with a bit of a pout. "What? He's not that scary, is he?" She asked him with a bit of a frown. She didn't think he was. But then again, he was her brother. She wasn't meant to be scared of him. She then cocked her head again, looking all too curious. "What do you mean?" She asked with a chuckle.

Sage hummed lightly in response to the girls comments about him making her happy. He felt another delighted grin cross his face when she kissed him, and he was more than happy to kiss her back. Then he chuckled and shrugged. "He can be...not so much anymore but when I first met him he was about as scary as it could get," he chuckled lightly. But they were making progress ...and really, if he was in the boys shoes, he'd most likely handle it a lot worse than he had. He raised an eyebrow at her question and chuckled again. "Didn't we just have this conversation about how something other than violence should turn me on," he teased her lightly. "If you actually sucker punched me for being a dick, I'd probably have fallen deep right then and there if I hadn't already," he laughed.
