Caden went to his study, sitting and grabbing his glasses off his monitor. He turned on the computer, the screen flashing with its logo before logging him in. The man took track of everything, stocks rising, where the company was weak, all while slowly he started stressing more and more. Her scream still echoed in his mind, the image flooding his sight as he tried to work. Caden set the pen down, setting his glasses aside as he held his head in his hands. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to erase the image from his mind.

She sat next to murphy on the couch for a while before finally getting up and going to Caden's office again. She saw the look on his face and frowned. Walking over to him, she watched his expression. She didn't like it--the sad, depressed looking Caden. She loved her happy, playful, loving Caden. She sighed softly, massaging his shoulders gently

Caden allowed her, letting out a breath and sagging his shoulders slightly. "Still wasn't quick enough, 20 years later and I still wasn't quick enough." He muttered, rubbing his temple.
